OBTAINING A GRANT OF PROBATE Losing a loved one is something we all have to go through at some point in time. It is often one of the most difficult and stressful times of our lives. If you are the named executor on your loved ones Will or should you need to administer an estate where there is no Will, you may need to get a Grant of Probate/Letters of Administration (often referred to as ‘a Grant’). This will give you the legal authority to sort out their affairs. A Grant is often needed to sell a property or close a bank account. A Grant is proof that you are the person entitled to administer the estate and deal with the assets in the estate.

£599.00 inc VAT for either Grant. Includes: • Court application fee (£155.00) • 5 office copies of the Grant (£2.50) • Completion of HMRC Inheritance Tax Return IHT 205 • Preparation of the Oath and legal costs to obtain the Grant • Grants back in around 2-3 weeks from time of application • Same day service often available where we make the application on the same day as your appointment If you would like a quote or appointment then please telephone us on 0191 389 5189 or 0191 388 1778
