Embarking on a career in real estate is a decision that requires passion, determination, and a drive for success. For me, the path to becoming a licensed real estate agent began in 2011. Having worked in sales, finance, and advertising, I desired to own my own business and take control of my professional destiny. Today, as a proud member of eXp Realty, I can confidently say that I have found the perfect platform to achieve my goals. In this article, I will share my experiences, motivations, and the joys of my personal and professional life.

Before diving into the world of real estate, I graduated from the University of South Alabama and gained valuable experience in various fields.

I worked in mobile home sales, finance, and accounting, which provided me with a well-rounded skill set and a deep understanding of different aspects of the business world.

This diverse background has proven to be an asset in my real estate career, allowing me to connect with clients from various backgrounds and Success is a multifaceted concept, and for me, it encompasses three key elements: financial stability, building meaningful relationships, and achieving balance in life. Financial stability allows me to provide for my family and invest in my future.

Lastly, finding balance, both personally and professionally, is essential.

As an avid angler, I find solace in the pursuit of a bountiful catch, which serves as a metaphor for achieving harmony in all aspects of life.

One of the most compelling reasons I was drawn to eXp Realty was the recommendation of a RE/MAX agent, who is also a close friend. She believed that eXp Realty was at the forefront of technological advancements in the industry. While she was unable to make the move herself, her endorsement spoke volumes about the company's potential. Two aspects that particularly stood out for me were the opportunity to earn 100% commission and the stock rewards/options provided by eXp Realty. These incentives aligned perfectly with my career aspirations and long-term financial goals.

When it comes to generating business, I have found success in sponsoring community events and causes. Engaging with the local community not only raises awareness of my services but also allows me to give back and make a positive impact.

By supporting organizations and events that resonate with my values, I am able to connect with like-minded individuals and establish meaningful connections.

Reflecting on my journey, if I could go back to when I first started in real estate, I would advise myself to let go of clients who do not fit my personality.

Realizing that some clients require a different approach or connection is an important lesson. By recognizing this early on, I could have streamlined my efforts and focused on building stronger relationships with clients who were better suited to my style and strengths.

Every real estate professional encounters challenges along their journey. One of the significant struggles I faced was finding my niche. However, after much exploration, I discovered that waterfront properties were my passion.

This revelation allowed me to channel my efforts into a specific market, becoming a trusted advisor for clients seeking their dream waterfront homes. By honing my expertise and developing a deep understanding of this niche, I overcame the hurdle and found my path to success.

Beyond my professional endeavors, I am blessed with a loving family and fulfilling home life. My husband, Scott, and I have two incredible children of whom we are immensely proud. Our son works for Shelby County 911 dispatch, while our daughter is pursuing her dreams in medical school.

In addition to our human family members, we have also adopted two stray dogs and four cats, creating a warm and lively home environment. In my spare time.

I enjoy indulging my passion for marketing, always looking for creative ways to engage with clients and promote my services. Humor plays a significant role in my marketing efforts, as evident in the "most wanted realtors" post I shared.
