Resort wear Casual wear Semi formal Formal Kids wear Uniforms
Jamaica has a history in the design and production of apparel in the areas identified. Jamaican designers have provided quality garments internationally from as early as the 1970s through resort centres and international retailers. While garment production has declined with the relocation of outsourcing, the local design industry continues to grow in the following areas: •
Resort wear: inspired by our homeland, the highest quality garments are produced, some using indigenous materials, but all reflecting the beauty of the island. A range of designers with one-of-a-kind to mass produced pieces provide items for the tourists, certain to be a hit in your resort boutique.
•
Casual wear: With our laid-back attitude we know how to design the ideal casual garments, delivered to standards of professionalism and quality fostered by the industry members.
•
Semi-formal / Formal: With our flair for style, trendsetting characteristics and culture of events, the experience developed in formal and semi-formal is on par with other emerging fashion industries. This group is certain to excite with ever-innovative designs.
•
Kids wear: WE NEED TO PUT IN KIDS DESIGN CONTENT
•
Uniform: A solid base in the local industry, the provision of uniforms to other industries is still growing, with the scope for international sales. Whatever the industry, we can provide uniforms reflecting the brand and image or your company.

PRIVATE SECTOR DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
JAMAICA FASHION & APPAREL CLUSTER
JAMAICA BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
Established in 2004 between the Government of Jamaica and the European Union (EU), the PSDP was created to address specific challenges facing micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSME’s) and their support organizations. The PSDP’s cluster sector initiative has streamlined technical and funding support towards groups of businesses committed to resolving group issues and maximizing on common opportunities. These enterprises span a number of sectors, including agrobusiness, the creative industries, tourism, and the services sectors.
The Jamaica Fashion and Apparel Cluster was formed to facilitate the growth and development of new and existing micro, small and medium enterprises in the industry. It promotes the collective interest of its members and has the ultimate goal of improving the competitiveness of Jamaica’s fashion and apparel industry.
The Jamaica Business Development Corporation (JBDC) provides business and technical support services for Jamaican businesses. The JBDC offers a combination of products, services, publications and expert referrals to its clients on a wide range of topics such as writing a business plan, starting a business, finding new markets and preparing for exporting. The JBDC initiative is a cooperative arrangement among Government Agencies, the private sector, associations, academic and research communities and is the main institutional support of the Jamaica Fashion and apparel Cluster.
