Top teacher tips

Mr MerRick is a teacher who loves Minecraft! Here are his tips to get started with your design.

When working on a large project like this it is a really good idea to follow the design process – the steps to success model (check out page 4). This will give you a really clear plan for what you want to achieve and how to get there. Here are my top tips on approaching this challenge: 1

Research

What do existing airports look like? What is cutting edge in airport technology?

Get your friends together and make some groups, give people jobs or roles. Draw some sketches, or storyboards showing the key elements of your design.

Produce

This is where the bulk of the work gets done. Create a flat world and share your join code with your friends and get building! 4

Evaluate

The last step is also the most important. Look at your final result and compare it to your initial designs. Be honest with yourself and your friends. Did you achieve what you set out to do? If not, why? What went wrong? What could you change? Gre
