MTH acquires Foris Index and strengthens its position in the industrial refrigeration market in Italy and abroad

MTH has been a global leader in the refrigeration industry for more than 80 years. Within a product range that covers the entire value chain, the company offers different solutions of industrial and commercial insulating doors including hinged, sliding and service doors, for positive and negative temperature and with a high degree of customization. Application fields range from supermarkets to storage and distribution centers, from agribusiness to medical.

To further strengthen its leadership position in the field of insulating doors, MTH has completed the acquisition of Foris Index, a leading Italian company specialized in the production of doors for industrial cold rooms.

This is a strategically important deal because it allows MTH to exploit industrial synergies and expand its portfolio with new products, enabling the Group to consolidate its presence in new markets as well. The deal is part of a development plan that aims to build an Italian champion capable of competing with the major players in the industry at international level, also through potential future aggregations of other Italian excellences, responding to increasingly higher standards of quality and sustainability.

Founded in 1964 in Conselice (RA) by the Berardi family, Foris Index specializes in the production of cold storage doors for large industrial warehouses and for the agricultural, fruit and vegetables and meat sectors, particularly with controlled atmosphere applications. With a deep-rooted presence both in Italy and in major European countries, Foris Index has grown steadily in recent years.
