PRB at Interpack with new projects and a renewed corporate identity

Growth and constant research for new technologies have allowed PRB Innovation to lead the market with important milestones, and offer a wide range of endof-line machines

PRB is historically positioned in the world of packaging through its experience dating back to 1980. That year marked the start of a small company typical of Bologna’s Packaging Valley, which has evolved over the years into a highly competitive and modern business.

Growth and constant research for new technologies have allowed PRB Innovation to lead the market with important milestones, such as the first electronic machines already developed in the early 1990s. PRB offers a wide range of end-of-line machines: horizontal continuous and alternate cartoners, bundling and overwrapping machines, vertical and horizontal case-packers, up to palletisers and wrappers. PRB’s solutions are well-known for their flexibility, high efficiency, and suitability to limited spaces. With over 5000 machines sold worldwide in various market sectors, the company has strengthened the relationship with its customers by providing aftersales service even on very old machines.

In 2021, the company began to cooperate with OMET Group, a leader in the tissue market, through PRB’s accumulated expertise in packaging products for a wide variety of sectors.

This partnership provides PRB Innovation today with the opportunity to invest further in its business growth. The recent joining of new managers to the PRB team has increased the company’s ability to open up new markets in addition to its established portfolio of customers, from Food to Tobacco, cosmetics to healthcare and confectionery. To cover the constantly growing packaging needs, the Research & Development department has been reinforced to support the sales team more effectively with competitive solutions, in addition to the strengthening of the current offer.

PRB Innovation will be exhibiting an innovative version of the F30 vertical case packer at Interpack. This machine can handle up to 25 cases per minute and offers a well-established technology with over 120 units installed worldwide.

Its key feature is flexibility. Since it can be equipped with different types of infeed and pick-and-place systems, it handles a wide range of products with different and irregular shapes: cartons, flowpacks, bags, bottles, cans, pouches. The machine can work with American cases, open top and display cases. It can also be integrated with the TC19 automatic lid forming and applicator and connected in line with the P100 palletiser, composing the most compact line available on the market.
