BRONX MUSEUM TEEN SUMMER PROGRAM 2016 Unite to Fight HIV and AIDS This summer the Teen Summer Program had the opportunity to conduct a series of interviews about the ongoing impact of HIV/AIDS. We met with people and organizations who are on the frontline of working towards harm reduction, prevention, and treatment of HIV and AIDS. This project was inspired by the exhibition Art AIDS America, on view at The Bronx Museum July 13 through October 23, 2016. Created in 2012, the Teen Summer Program researches community-based organizations and their impactful work. Over the course of three weeks, teens engage with activists, administrators, and artists and learn how grassroots organizations serve as vital local resources. Working collaboratively with museum educators, participants create videos and publications to offer information about the services available in the Bronx and share their findings with a wider public.
