“An equally interesting and absorbing part of practising architecture is translating your two-dimension drawings into three-dimension buildings. I have to be on the site to enjoy this transition from drawings to buildings. Not to be involved in building would be, to me, as foolish as buying a camera and film, viewing and clicking the trigger, getting a negative done, but not getting the print.” - Laurie Baker
This portfolio is a compilation of the selected works of my architectural endeavours over the years. It is a reflection of all the principles I hold as an architect.

PROJECT : LOCATION : TYPE :
Awareness center for water Chennai, Tamil Nadu Public awareness center
02 The project is conceived as an amalgamation of various programs required to educate the citizens about the importance of water.
02
14 | INTRODUCTION
The project is a result of studying various climatic conditions of a site situated in Chennai. The climate is hot and humid so the build is oriented in such a way that it is well ventilated by the natural airflow created by the winds. The museum space has double-height spaces to display large artefacts. The main purpose of this centre is to spread awareness amongst the citizens about the water shortage in the city and provide alternative solutions through seminars. The museum space is not only utilized by artists to convey strong messages but also by companies that want to display products that help save water.

18 | BIOMIMICRY
BIOMIMICRY Biomimicry is the practice of looking to nature for inspiration to solve design problems in a regenerative way. Darkling beetles live in the Namib Desert, one of the driest habitats in the world. They get the water they need from dew and ocean fog in the air. The beetle has special tips and bumps on its wing scales that help it to collect water. Water in the air condenses on the tips to form water droplets, which then flow off the bumps and into the beetle’s mouth.

The project is a proposal to the government of Karnataka. It aims at providing opportunities to entrepreneurs from rural areas to begin their entrepreneurial journey. The site is located on Kanankapura road which leads to the outskirts of the city. The programs are based on what all an entrepreneur would require to launch the service or product. This includes workspaces, discussion rooms, patent attorney rooms, gathering space and an experimental cafe. Food entrepreneurs can test their food products in this cafe. The project is a low-cost solution using natural materials and natural ventilation.

04
28 | CONCEPT
CONCEPT
“The Spirit of ONE” belief system subscribes to all of the above beliefs. RANI GAYATRI X SPACE ODESSEY PROJECT : Quarantine room for Gayatri Devi LOCATION : Spaceship seen on Space Odessey TYPE : Interior design
05 As part of the studio Stanley Kubrick movie “2001: A Space Odyssey” became the base which was analysed and studies for its various aspects including colour scheme, textures, fabric, storyline, timeline, etc. The neoclassical room was selected as our canvas in which we were to hypothetically design a quarantine space for our client, Maharani Gayatri Devi.
05
32 | CONCEPT
“UN-CONFINED” Maharani Gayatri Devi refused to accept the purdah system. Her school was known to liberate young girls from the orthodox of ‘purdah’. I have taken this objective of Maharani and tried to abstract the Purdah been thrown up. The circle represents the feeling of being confined in a purdah and the semi-circle represents the freedom as it is breaking out of the circle.

Fatehpur sikri
07 Travelling make me feel most alive. I like to capture the moments I experience and this gives me immense joy. Travelling and photography have taught me to look at things from a new perspective. Most of these photos have been taken as Instagram stories. I like sharing the joy I experience with the world.

MISCELLANEOUS WORKS SOFTWARES : ZBrush, Maya, Keyshot
07 I like to imagine the future of architecture and design through various explorations and pushing the limit of various software. I have tried to work on various architectural objects in the post-digital era. I think the world of architecture is moving away from the low-polygon model space of the predigital era to high polygon model spaces of the post-modern era. I have also tried various explorations in furniture and jewelry design.
