Dominion Over Death Part 2 (Sent 26/09/2010) Bishop David Oyedepo’s primary calling in the 5-fold is that of an apostolic Prophet, and at particular periods during the sermon, he will be making prophetic declarations which I will mark with the emboldened words in brackets (Claim it in Jesus name!)... These prophetic declarations, you should pause reading and take by saying “Amen (so be it), I receive this now for my life and my family in Jesus name”. The Bible outlines how we take a thought by saying [Matthew 6:31], so the fact that the enemy is trying to fill your minds with thoughts of unbelief, fear and sin means nothing at all until you give voice to those thoughts... We must continually reject these thoughts, and speak the Word of God for every situation instead for these words to produce the physical manifestation we need... This is a life and death matter, so please don’t treat these words lightly... The Bible says believe in the LORD your God, so shall you be established; believe His prophets and you will prosper (2 Chronicles 20:20)... I believe these words will mark a turning point in your life as well in the name of Jesus (Claim it in Jesus name!).
Intro God is raising an army of men and women anointed for dominion, empowered to ride prosperously and in majesty in this dark world; however, dominion is impossible without faith. Faith is the master key to a world of dominion. Faith is God’s wisdom for man’s dominion on the earth, and faith thrives on understanding. Dominion therefore, has its roots in understanding. God has instructed his servant, Bishop David Oyedepo to put in place on a monthly basis, the Dominion Summit which is designed to put in your hand the key of dominion. God’s Kingdom operates on keys; therefore, expect to take delivery of light from heaven, striking insight that will empower you for dominion over sickness, disease, calamities, poverty, failure, family crisis, death and so on as David Oyedepo teaches the Word of Faith liberating the world from all oppressions of the devil. Beginning Lord Jesus we give you thanks and praise... blessed be Your Name... in Jesus precious Name. In the precious Name of Jesus Christ, can I hear Your loud amen... can I hear your loud amen... can I hear your loud amen... can I hear your loud amen... Lets quickly briefly examine the terms of the covenant... that establishes your dominion over death... that guarantees your long life in this wicked world... Psalm 91... What must I do... to command practical dominion over death, and enjoy long life according to the Abrahamic covenant... and I will list these things very briefly... it is important to understand that every provision in the Kingdom... answers to the knowledge of the truth... answers to what? ...when the knowledge of the truth is applied... God is committed to deliver His promise... that’s why the Bible says, when you wander away from the path of understanding, you abide in the congregation of the dead... that is when you lack understanding as a believer... you are not any better than a
sinner... Proverbs 21 and verse 16... so it is your understanding of the truth, that essentially makes you unique... My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge... so when you have the knowledge of the truth... and apply yourself to the demands of the same... God is committed to confirm, God is committed to perform, God is committed to deliver... now look at what He said... in Isaiah chapter 11 and verse 9... “...and nothing...”, Isaiah 11 verse 9 “...shall hurt upon all My holy mountains, because the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea...”; so the knowledge of God, is what puts a halt to everything that hurts... you can stop every hurt by the knowledge of the truth! That’s why I know... death and the threat of death will no longer be able to hurt you from henceforth (Claim this in the Name of Jesus)... come on say the knowledge of the truth... it’s very important... nothing shall hurt upon all My holy mountain because the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea. Haven’t you heard, you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free...
I love what this man said this morning... this... this son of Abraham. I discovered that my solution was not in praying, but in doing... This is the question... the great question in your covenant walk... What must I do? ...that’s the question that the jailer asked Paul... What must I do to be saved? ...they asked the same question in Acts chapter 2... men and brethren, what shall we do? ...that young ruler also asked Jesus... what shall I do to inherit the Kingdom of God... now see, when you get to know what to do from the Word of God, and you begin to do it,
God
has no choice than to perform... God has no choice but to perform! ...every promise is accompanied with a set of conditions... and when the conditions are met, the promise graduates into a covenant... can I hear your amen... when the conditions are met, the promise automatically graduates into a covenant... that is, it becomes binding on God to perform... Can I hear your amen... It becomes binding on God to perform! It becomes binding on God to perform!! I don’t know how you see it... a man is 120years of age, and he has a program slated for 2005... hmm... and has a schedule slated for 2008... and somebody is 40, he said nobody knows what the future holds... anything that happens happens... that’s why anything happens to him... hm... now in the year 1997, I did a schedule to 2039... what I should be doing, and where I should be, and what I should be going about doing... now, 2039! ....that was then, I’ve already extended that program... amen... because I saw that Moses eye was not dim, and his natural force not abated, so I will still be active doing what I should be doing when I am 120... I have said it many times, those who are waiting for me to die will wait for eternity... because ehm... there is no death on my face at all... and I can’t see death on your faces at all (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!)... I can’t see death on your faces at all! (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!) ...every time you do what you must do from the Word of God, God is committed to deliver your desire... Psalm 91, let’s quickly run through it... “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High, shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty...”, so there is where for you to dwell... to abide under His Shadow... the secret place... and when you are born again, the Bible says... you have been raised up together with Him... and you have been made to sit together with Him, in heavenly places... and in heavenly places, the Bible says there was no more place found for the devil in heaven... he was cast down to the earth! So redemption is your access to the secret
place of the covenant... what is it? ...redemption. When you are saved, you are raised up together with Christ Ephesians 2:5-8 ...you are raised up together with Him, and you are made to sit together with Him in heavenly places... and Ephesians 1:21 says He is far above all principalities and powers, and dominion and every name that is named... so, when you are born again, you are transported into the secret place of the Most High... can I hear your amen... say with me, “Redemption is my automatic access, into the secret place of the Most High” (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!) ...so everyone that is redeemed is dwelling in the secret place of the Most High... that’s where He is! Redemption does not leave you here... redemption takes you up from here, into the very secret place of the Most High... when you live in the consciousness of that new position, it becomes easy to exercise your dominion over all the forces of darkness, can I hear your amen...
say with me, “I am no longer here spiritually... spiritually, I am dwelling in the secret place of the Most High, seated together with Christ in heavenly places, far above, all principalities and powers. Where I am seated, the devil cannot come. There is a deep gully between where I am seated and where the devil is, it is an impassable gully, therefore my destiny is secured in the covenant” (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!) Is somebody hearing what I am talking about... the secret place is not hiding inside the church building, the secret place is your new positioning in the spiritual... your new positioning in the spiritual... you are dwelling in heavenly places in Christ Jesus! This mentality has to be driven into the church! Not when we get to heaven, there will be no more sickness, we are already in heaven! There is a spiritual heavenly to which you have been transported, or call it translated from the kingdom of darkness to the Kingdom of His own dear Son, so you are living up there with Him, where the devil can no longer molest you... Do you know what I am talking about? ...from this moment, no more molestation! (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!) You see what that daughter of Abraham did... she said, I put my two hands on my waist, and said satan... you must understand who is standing here now... there is a way the truth enters you, and intoxicates you... you know what the other son of Abraham said the other time... he said, I told the devil, power has changed hands! Do you know where you are? And then... fffff (blowing air)... the devil
every evil tormenting your mind, must loose its grip on you now! (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!) They came to look for Jesus in left...
the grave, and they couldn’t find Him, and they said He is no longer here... He is risen... you are no longer here! You are living in heavenly places (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!)
...so you must be saved, otherwise you are not safe... if you are not saved, you are not safe! There is no other hiding place on earth, except in Christ... can I hear your amen... can I hear your amen! I will dwell in the secret place of the Most High... I will stay there, i won’t let anything move me out of the place... he said, I will say of the Lord, verse 2... so you are dwelling... you are saying...
what must I do?
You must dwell in the secret place of the Most High... what else must I do? You must keep saying... that the Lord is your refuge... and
your fortress... you must keep saying so... don’t just assume, keep saying so... you know the reason why... Proverbs 18 verse 21, life and death are in the power of the tongue... only those who talk life! ...enjoy life... life and death are in the power... of the tongue! In Numbers chapter 14 verse 28, the 12 spies went into ...the 10 spies went into the land for surveillance... and they came back and said they cannot enter the land, and God said... in Numbers chapter 14 verse 28... as you have said in My ears, even so will I do unto you... your carcasses will fall in the wilderness! ...they said we cannot enter, God said you have said it! ...I am committed to what you say, I will do it exactly the way you said it, you will die here! ...life and death are in the power of the tongue, I will say of the Lord! You are my refuge, and my fortress... I will be saying so, no matter what is still there! ...that precious one that testified earlier on said, when the vehicle somersaulted, I said no I shall not die but declare the works of God... I will say! ...a young man was in a boat hazard in Port Harcourt some years ago... and as the boat capsized... before he was drowning he said
“Jesus!!! I refuse to die!!!”... and an invincible hand held him... until the rescue boat came... he was being held, he was holding a hand... and by the time he arrived in the boat, he couldn’t find the hand anymore...

He (Jesus) said because I live, you shall live also! (John 6:57) He said Jesus! I refuse to die!! Jesus, I ref... I will say of the Lord, because life and death are in the power of the tongue. Now Psalm 34, I will read something here... very important... Psalm 34... because He lives, I will live also... now verse 12. “what man is he that desireth life, and loveth days, that he may see good”, did you see that? Psalm 34 verse 12, is there any man here who loves life? ...and loveth many days? ...that he may see good? ...now read verse 13 together if you love it... “Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile, depart from evil and do good, seek peace and pursue it”, you see that verse 13, keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking slangs... you understand what I am saying? ...now see, ...the Bishop mimics someone... “ol boy, anybody can die anytime o, I don’t believe that teaching” ...you are registering for the mortuary... and your tongue from speaking guile... “ol boy, anybody can die anytime! What is life... what is this world after all?” You just went to the front desk officer in the mortuary and said, “put my name”... that’s exactly what you are saying without knowing... if you love life, and you want to see many days, he said keep your tongue from speaking evil, and your lips from speaking slangs... “ol boy, I am finished... completely... I’m finished” ...He said open your mouth wide, and I will fill it Psalm 81 verse 10 to 14 hehn... He said, but My people did not hearken to Me, O that you had hearkened to Me I would have so subdued your enemies under you long time, Psalm 81 verse 10 to 14... open your mouth wide, and declare whatever you have come to believe! When you declare it, you have committed
....the words of your mouth, they are a seed into your future! What you say, is a Me! ...For you shall have whatsoever you say!
seed that you have sown, and whatever a man sows, that also shall he reap! ...stop talking death, or it will not be fault of death if you die! ...I will say of the
Lord, you are My refuge and My fortress, and then he said, my God in Whom I trust...
so, keep dwelling... keep saying... number 3, keep trusting... come on say, keep trusting (Say after the Prophet). Psalm 125 and verses 1 to 3... they that trust in the Lord shall be like mount Zion that cannot be removed but abideth forever... as the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about His people from this day forward even forever... He will not suffer the rod of the wicked to rest upon the righteous, lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity, Psalm 125 verses 1 to 3... as long as you keep trusting, God remains your fortress... keep trusting, and God will keep fortressing... He will surround you with rocks and stones that makes you inaccessible... my God in Whom will I trust... you keep trusting, and God will keep fortressing... He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in Whom will I trust... and he said... the next thing he said here is... I shall not be afraid, he said thou shalt not be afraid because fear... will create a room for the devil, it will give place to the devil... fear... provides access to the tormentor... the Bible says, perfect love... casts out fear, because fear opens the door for torments... so when fear... just like faith attracts God’s attention, fear attracts the wicked’s attention... Job said, the things I greatly feared has come upon me. Job chapter 3 verses 24 and 25... and you know in the Bible, we have it in 365 places, be not afraid... be not dismayed... thou shalt not fear... 365 places! ...meaning the cheapest way for you to become a victim, is to submit yourself to fear... but God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. Can I hear your amen... can I hear your amen... and then, he said because I have set my love upon Him, therefore will He deliver me...
number 5, set your love on God... when you win His love, you secure your destiny... in Isaiah 43 verses 1 to 4, in verse 4 He says, because thou hast been precious to Me, I have loved thee... therefore I give men for your life... Isaiah 43 verses 1 to 4, when you win His love, He gives men for your life... anyone after you, goes for you... anyone seeking your hurt, falls down for your sake (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!)... when you set your love on Him, you have committed Him to deliver you. Because He has set His love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him... I will set him up on high, because he has known My Name... now, look at Isaiah 43 verse 4... lets start from verse 3, for I am the Lord thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy saviour... I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee... verse 4, since thou wast precious in My sight, thou hast been honourable, and I have loved thee, therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life... can I hear your amen (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!)... when you win His love, anyone after you goes for you... The whole army of Israel was after David, they couldn’t find him... when you are in love with The Father, your destiny is secure... when your love for God is a burning love, your destiny becomes a colourful destiny... can I hear your amen... He said whatever wouldn’t let you go, I will make sure they go for you... whatever is digging your pit, I will make sure they fall into it for you (Proverbs 26:27/ Proverbs 28:10)... what must I do to have dominion over death? Keep loving Him... set your love on Him... make loving God a way of life... you know what He said, he that has My commandment, and keeps it, it is he that loveth Me John 14:21... and he that loveth Me, will be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and i will manifest Myself to him... I will show up! ...from henceforth, in the midst of every conflict, your God will show up (Claim this in the
Name of Jesus!)... I said in the midst of every conflict, your God will show up! (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!) ...He said, he that hath My commandment and keepeth it, it is he that loveth Me, and he that loveth Me will be loved of My Father, and I will love him, and I will manifest Myself to him... when you are in love with God, He naturally manifests Himself in your affairs at will... when you are a committed lover, you commit God to manifesting Himself in your affairs all the time... and when God shows up in any situation, the devil must give way... the devil must give way, because before Him (God), all mountains flow down... no matter how many people have gathered together, when God shows up... heh... manifests Himself! ...every devil must give way... I tell you something... that is what makes the love of God a great asset... it commits God to show up in your affairs at all times... He shows up in your business, He shows up everywhere! ...shows up in your home, shows up on your journeys! ...I will manifest Myself to him... I will take over from there! I will what? I will take over from there... to see fear, and not fear means that something is working in you that others cannot see... that others... cannot see! I will manifest Myself to him...
What must I do to enjoy dominion over death? Number 6, I will call... I will what? I will call... now in that Psalm 91, he said he shall call upon Me, and I will answer him... I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him... he shall call upon Me, and I will answer him... verse 15... I will be with him in trouble... I will deliver him, and honour him... he shall call upon Me, so what do you do... when death, for any reason threatens
Jesus!! I refuse to die... Jesus!! I shall not die!!! But live, and declare the works of God... he your life, or knocks at your door...

And honour him... that’s what He said He will do... and He said with long life will I satisfy him! As I show him My salvation from time to time, in the midst of every conflict... with long life will I satisfy him, and I will show him My salvation... shout hallelujah... shout hallelujah! ...shout hallelujah!! ...I will set him on high because he has known My Name... so we come to number 7, the working knowledge of the covenant... come on say working knowledge... what are the things required on me, for these things to produce to it’s fullness in my life... I will mention a few of them, and then we will be closing down, in this summit... because he has known, come on say
God does not set you up, except you do what He has asked you to do... He knowledge... because he has known what I said to do!
said, this book... He said if you diligently hearken to My voice, and observe to do what I tell you to do, I will set you up on high above all nations of the earth... so it’s your obedience that determines your placement in God! ...what has God said to do, for any man that wants to enjoy long life... to enjoy long life, you must avoid bitterness! You must what? Avoid bitterness... looking diligently, lest any root of bitterness springing up in you trouble you, and many be defiled (Hebrews 12:15)... bitterness is a device of the enemy, to shatter precious destinies... in 1st John chapter 3... verse 14, we know that we have passed from death unto What? Life! ...because we love the brethren... 1st John 3:14... he that loveth not his brother abideth in the death! ...so hatred, is a silent killer... bitterness, is a silent destroyer... whoso hateth his brother is a murderer! ...and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him! ...verse 18, my little children, let us not love in words,
neither in tongue, but in deed, and in truth! ...don’t fake it!! Make it! ...when you are not in love, you are getting lost without knowing... because where hatred dwells, death abides... you know why they couldn’t kill David? ...God forbid that I should lift up my hands against the Lord’s anointed... somebody looking for you to kill you... you now saw him, and cut a part of his dress, he didn’t wake up... and you didn’t kill him... that’s why they couldn’t kill him... may every form of bitterness holding you bound in your heart today, be destroyed in the Name of Jesus! (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!) That’s the Word of the Lord...
What then, what else must I do, and this may shock you but I would like to read it... Jeremiah chapter 17... in my Bible I read that the integrity of the upright shall preserve them, amen... you will see the reason for... the increasing lowering of life span among men, because the scriptures cannot be broken... chapter 17 of Jeremiah, and we read in verse 11... let’s start from verse 9... the heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked, who can know it? I the Lord, I search the heart, I try the reins even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings... now look at verse 11, dangerous! ...as the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so is he that getteth riches by fraud... that getteth riches, and not by right, shall
so lack of financial integrity puts you on the highway to the grave... shall leave it in the midst of his days... he shall not fulfil his days, and at the leave it, in the midst of his days... and at the end, shall be what? A fool...
end of it he shall be a fool... how much that applies to our covetous greedy society today where people are not even afraid to defraud the church... Where Christians cannot trust themselves with their own resources, anymore!! ...And you can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth (2 Corinthians 13:8)... so longevity thrives on your personal integrity... your social integrity is a major factor in walking into this covenant of long life... every fraudulent financial gain is helping to dig your grave without knowing... he that getteth riches, and not by right... he shall leave it in the midst of his days... and at the end of it, he shall be what? A fool... Achan became a fool... he lost it all... himself, his wife, his children... even the animals in his house! ...everything went off for it... he shall leave it in the midst of his days! In this money crazy world... where everybody is displaying every demonic smartness... you can’t walk in the reality of this covenant except... you embrace integrity... he shall leave it in the midst of his days... Ananias and Sapphira left it in the midst of their days... Gehazi, left it in the midst of his days... grace for financial integrity... grace for social integrity... receive it now in the Name of Jesus Christ! (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!)
...so many of them, but let’s stop in this third one. Ecclesiastes chapter 10... this other one is biting harder every day... Ecclesiastes chapter 10 and verse 18... by much slothfulness, the building decayeth, and through idleness of the hands, the house droppeth through... by much slothfulness, a building decayeth... from scriptural perspective... we are God’s building... we are God’s husbandry... we are God’s building! ...we are the Temple of the Holy Ghost! ...he said, by much slothfulness, this temple will decay... by idleness, it will drop... so to walk in the reality of long life, and exercise true dominion over sin... you must be a covenant workman... you are a worker... not just somebody going to work...
you are someone actually working... at the age of 90, God called Abraham, and the Bible says Abraham became very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold... in chapter 14, Abraham went to the warfront himself! ...in the night! ...all our covenant fathers, are hard workers... all our covenant fathers were tireless workers... all our covenant fathers were creative workers... and I know why this generation is loosing grip of their heritage of long life, it’s because multitudes only pose to be working, very few are actually working... particularly with free food, available culturally in Africa! You don’t have to work! ...you have a brother to blame... an uncle to cuss... and your brother’s wife to abuse... free food is taken for normal living in Africa! As a matter of fact, you can marry freely, you don’t need to be working, just... your father will just think that you have arrived at the age to marry... and they marry for you... and they raise your children for you... you sleep in your father’s house with your wife, and your children... it’s allowed in Africa... that’s why it’s no wonder, people die at 40... they die at 46... because of cheap money, and no work... cheap money, and no work! ...Abraham had to work, Isaac had to work... Jacob had to work! ...Moses worked his way, he was working... working his way... to his transition... you can’t keep folding your arms at 9am... at 11am... and looking at time when it’s 2pm, Say it’s time to go... most of what we call private businesses in Nigeria... are nothing but idle centres... nothing! Going on... no particular step any day being taken! ...no agenda... no schedule... it’s time to review our position... these are things we must watch out against... against bitterness... against fraudulence... against indolence ...because he has
known My Name.... I will set him up on high... he has knowwwn My Name...
When you carry this young man, Pa Sadela, and you want to take him up the stairs, he will say no, no, no... leave me... leave me... leave me... you will be talking in the room, he will say I want to just get up there, and get something... by himself, at 102! ...I saw headpan (Used by builders in Nigeria to carry sand, cement and blocks as well as other building materials) on his head in one picture... headpan! ...when they were building the church, headpan! ...on his head... I don’t care how many aerobics you have... and you do... it is not a substitute for productive labour... come on say productive labour... if you like, be riding bicycle on one spot... hmm... amen... be jogging, every day of your life, that is not a substitute for productive labour... for what? ...if you want to know the meaning of total health... give yourself to total work... and you will see how it will enhance the worth of the organs in your body... I curse idleness from it’s roots from every life (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!) ...this is what you must do, and what I must do... to actualize the reality of our dominion over death! ...and enjoy... the blessedness of long life after the order of Abrahamic covenant, rise to your feet...
Come on shout hallelujah! ...lift up your two hands, and let’s begin to give thanks to God... for showing us which way to go! (Please remember the importance of giving thanks and Pray this giving God thanks)... In Jesus precious Name... In Jesus precious Name... I would like you to pick this Word before you leave... death can be stopped! Say with me, death can be stopped!! Now say it again, death can be destroyed!!! In 1st Corinthians 15:26, he said the last enemy that shall be destroyed is what? 1st Corinthians 15:26... the last enemy that shall be destroyed is what? ...death! That means in these last days... death will loose popularity in the church! (Claim
this in the Name of Jesus!) Can I hear your amen... death shall become a nonissue in the Body of Christ... can I hear your loud amen... say with me, death can be stopped... death can be destroyed... therefore in my life... death is today stopped... in my family, death is today destroyed... I would like you to know that Christians are not permitted to die... The Bible says, they only sleep... what do they do? ...what do they do? ...I would like you to pick this because it would help reinforce your positioning... he said, I won’t have you ignorant concerning them that are asleep... so we are not programmed to die! We are programmed to go... asleep! ...is somebody hearing what I am saying? But the Bible says, they that sleep, sleep at night... when do they sleep? Do they sleep in the morning? ...they that sleep, sleep at night! ...so until it’s night, you are not permitted to go to bed! ...until it’s night, you are not permitted to go to bed! (Claim this in the Name of Jesus!) ...1st Thessalonians 4:13 -15, I will not have you ignorant brethren concerning them that are asleep... I would like you to get this because it will help position you with confidence, against the threats of death... and 1st Thessalonians 5:7... they that sleep, sleep at night... and God who ordered the times and seasons said... I have given you up to 120 before it’s night for you to sleep... did you understand what I am talking about? ...so most of us here, are just around 2pm... a lot of us at 9am... some of us at 7am in the morning... but they that sleep, sleep at night...
Now hear me... very important! David was playing, and he said threescore and ten are our days... did you remember that in Psalm 90? It was not a prophecy, it was David speaking... and when it was 70 exactly, David passed... as far as your eyes can see, it shall be given to you... is somebody hearing something from what I am saying... now, Moses heard from God 120, when it was 120, Moses went off... I don’t know what you are hearing this morning...
