An Abundant Supply (Sent 20/1/2010) “And God is able to make
all
grace (every favor and
you in abundance, so that you may
whatever
always
and
earthly blessing) come to under all circumstances and
the need be self-sufficient (possessing enough to require no aid or
support and furnished in abundance for donation” – 2 Corinthians 9:8 AMP
every
good work and charitable
Dearest folks, In developing my faith for God’s financial provision, the Lord had me take a close look at this verse... He led me to put my name in it, and declare it over and over again concerning myself saying, and God is able to make all grace, every favor and earthly blessing come to me in abundance, so that I may always, in all circumstances, and whatever the need, be self sufficient, possessing no need of aid or support, and furnished in abundance unto every good work and charitable donation... As I declared this concerning myself over and over again my faith began to rise,
I began
to believe... this verse has become irrevocably ingrained in my heart to the point that no physical circumstance can make me confess otherwise... continually calling those things that be not as though they were (Romans 4:17)... this Word became flesh to me... it is my reality which is constantly improving my physical circumstances and becoming a reality my physical senses can quite nicely grasp and enjoy... The reason He led me to do this was because, if our consumption of His Word is merely a mental accent, when persecution arises because of this word (Mark 4:17), we would not remember it, it would not be of any special significance to us, because our minds would be fixated on the circumstances at hand, which would lead to our confessing contrary to the Word, and the enemy stealing it... This is why the Lord told Joshua the son of Nun Moses’ minister “This Book of the Law shall not depart out of shall meditate on it
according to all way prosperous, and
your mouth, but you
day and night, that you may observe and do that is written in it. For then then
you
you
shall make
shall deal wisely and have
your
good success”
Joshua 1:8 AMP You see... the Lord is not against us having good success, rather He is for it, but there is a process as outlined to Joshua.
The Lord will have us meditate on His word peeps, not merely read it... because merely reading would cause us to miss some subtle life transforming revelations the Lord would want us to know... What does it mean to meditate... Noah Webster, a godly American Statesman published a dictionary on English words in 1828 and based definitions on scripture as recorded. Meditate, according to him means “To dwell on anything in thought; to contemplate; to study; to turn or revolve any subject in the mind...” As is consistent with God’s word, Mary the mother of Jesus shows exactly why she was chosen... she gave us an expert example in the art of meditation... Luke the physician in his detailed account of Jesus’ life records “.... (Mary) kept revolving in her mind...” Luke 1:29; “...Mary was keeping within herself all these things (sayings), weighing and pondering them in her heart” the result of which was glory to God Luke 2:19; and “...his mother (Mary) kept and closely and persistently guarded all these things in her heart...” and Jesus increased in wisdom... Luke 2:52
Looking at these things you can’t help but tell yourself, perhaps we are missing out on so much by just reading through the Word of God like we would any other book... To get His results, we must walk the road He walked, be followers of them who through faith and patience obtained the promises (Hebrews 6:12) I call to remembrance how the Lord led me to meditate on health scriptures one at a time... for about 30mins I would ponder on these scriptures... I would put my name in saying them over and over... I would run my Bible reference as the Lord led me to even more and more scriptures and I would do the same with these... and I have lived on the faith of that for 10yrs!! You can’t do this with whole chapters, you’ve got to do this one verse at a time, and be sensitive to the Lord’s leading to other verses, and keep going back to the original ones...
Take a look at this paraphrase of 2 Corinthians 9:8 from looking up the full meaning of the words `Able`, `Make`, `favor`, `abundance`, `always`, `all`, `circumstance`, `charitable` and tell me if it is not worth it...
“God has sufficient physical power to compel every kind regard, friendly disposition, support, defence, vindication, promotion, justification, benevolence, acts of grace and goodwill, advantage, partiality, convenience afforded for success and earthly blessing to come to us in an overflowing quantity, so that we may continually and without variation, and under every circumstance or state of property and whatever the need be self-sufficient (possessing enough to require no aid or support, and supplied in an overflowing quantity for every good work and benevolent and kind donation”
Your brother In Christ, Temisan
“...You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavour? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world-like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father...” – Jesus Christ (Matthew 5:13 – 16) New Living Translation
