GORMAN-RUPP PUMPS | ENGINEERED SYSTEMS

THE WORLDWIDE LEADER

GORMAN-RUPP has been manufacturing pumping systems and providing superior fluids-handling solutions since 1933. Many of the innovations introduced by Gorman-Rupp have become industry standards. We have one of the largest selections of pumps in the world with over 2500 pump models, including self-priming centrifugal, standard centrifugal, submersible, rotary gear and diaphragm pumps. Gorman-Rupp is a leading manufacturer of engineered pumping systems. These vital systems are relied upon for their dependability in water transmission and sewage-handling in communities and municipalities around the world. We offer an extensive line of above ground and below ground self-priming pumping systems as well as a full line of solids-handling submersible pumping systems. These include pumps, motors, controls, piping and accessories, housed in an optional corrosion-resistant fiberglass enclosure that can be installed easily at the job site.

The barn where J.C. Gorman and H.E. Rupp made their first pumps on the outskirts of Mansfield, Ohio.

Superior products require state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, and Gorman-Rupp’s are among the most efficient and modern facilities in the world. We constantly update our plants and employ the latest technology to ensure that our products will be the most reliable in the industry. We realize that modern, efficient and state-of-the-art facilities are necessary for providing superior pumping products.

Rough castings are stored and ready for machining and assembly into finished products.

MODULAR ENCLOSURE ADVANTAGES Pumps are available in large range of flows Wide range of discharge pressures Single source responsibility

R

OUR PRE-ENGINEERED MODULAR ENCLOSURES are convenient, affordable and durable. The modular enclosures can be expanded in increments of 2 feet. They range in size from 8' × 8' to 24' × 40'. Because they are pre-engineered, these units avoid the costs of designing and engineering a custom station housing. These enclosures are made from corrosion- and mildew-resistant fiberglass which is impervious to caustic or acidic atmosphere and is UV resistant. White gelcoat covers the interior for easy maintenance and maximum light reflectability. Strong and dependable, the enclosure will withstand winds up to 150 mph and has a snowload rating of 40 lbs. per square foot. R factors are 20+ (R10 is standard). Lighting, heating and ventilation are installed, pre-wired and ready for immediate operation. Durable, 3-point stainless steel door lock is standard for added security. Enclosures are available in green, gray, tan, white and blue (solid or pebble finish). Optional features show on page 12

GORMAN-RUPP’S BASE-MOUNTED AUTO-START PRESSURE BOOSTER AND WATER REUSE STATIONS use a pressure control which automatically converts to 12 volt DC and drives the pump with a standby engine, providing normal pumping service during power failure. It meets all standby requirements and fuels are primarily LPG or natural gas. The Auto-Start unit is a space-saving, modular combination of pump, electric motor and engine, all coupled to the same drive, eliminating the need for an expensive engine/generator set. The Pressure Booster Auto-Start unit can be used to maintain constant grid pressure or for filling aboveground storage tanks. When filling an above ground storage tank, the control will receive a level signal from the tank that will start and stop the pump(s).

80 Series ®

SELF-PRIMING CENTRIFUGAL PUMPS are reliable and efficient pumps ideal for Water Reuse stations. Gorman-Rupp’s 80 Series® and Super U Series® line of pumps are among the most reliable pumps available in the marketplace today. The 80 Series straight-in suction design, high efficiency impeller and multiple drive variation options make it a great option in a water reuse station. The Super U Series line not only delivers efficiencies up to 75%, but it also performs efficiently across a very broad operating range. The external shimless cover plate allows for easy adjustment of the clearance between the impeller and the wearplate. Adjustments can be made quickly and easily which keeps the pump operating at maximum efficiency. Both pump lines are available in a variety of sizes, and offer a large range of flow and heads.
