FBI Memphis Division Counterintelligence and Cyber Program

Special Agent Timothy S. Marsh

Timothy S. Marsh transferred to the Memphis Division in July of 2015. He has been assigned to investigate violations of law affiliated with Cyber and Counterintelligence matters. He also is currently serving as the InfraGard Coordinator. Mr. Marsh began his career as a special agent with the FBI in 2004, where he was assigned to the New Orleans Field Office. Mr. Marsh investigated a variety of counterintelligence matters, and in 2009 was transferred to the Los Angeles Field Office where he continued his work with counterintelligence. In 2011, he was named supervisory special agent of the cyber program in the New Orleans Field Office. In 2012, Mr. Marsh was requested to assist the National Cyber Investigative Joint Task Force with an outreach initiative focused on extracting cyber-related victim and actor threat information from FBI holdings and to determine the best method of disseminating said information to the appropriate field offices along with impacted victims. Mr. Marsh was instrumental in Cyber Division’s redevelopment and use of the Guardian for Cyber tracking program. Additionally, Mr. Marsh has been working to implement the Guardian for Cyber program throughout the USIC and other government agencies associated with the implantation Executive Order 13636. In April of 2013, he was selected as the Unit Chief of the Cyber Division’s Guardian Victim Analysis Unit responsible for ensuring the FBI successfully implemented the Guardian for Cyber program. Before entering the FBI, Mr. Marsh worked as an engineer with a company in the Memphis area, specifically associated with the manufacturing of HID lighting products as well as computer/networking management. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Memphis University in 1999.

Timothy S. John Fear John Fear has worked in the insurance industry for almost 30 years in the areas of Life & Annuity, Small Commercial, Boiler & Machinery, Field Operations, Process Engineering and Personal Insurance. In 2007, John left the corporate life to start his own consulting firm – Premier Business Consulting. As National Director of Agency Development at a Fortune 100 Insurance Company, John conducted hundreds of workshops for agency owners and developed and facilitated sales training sessions throughout the country for hundreds of Producers and CSRs. He has consulted with dozens of agents across the country, focusing on improving sales and maximizing operational efficiencies.

Jeff Janes Jeff is a strategic market access specialist with an emphasis on unlocking markets and deploying synergistic action for complimentary financial service industry partners. He has served in the financial services industry for the past ten years, and for seven consecutive years has held Select Member position with Sagemark Consulting Private Wealth Services Group, an elite team of financial advisors selected from among 2,200 financial planners across the country which focuses exclusively on clients in the high net worth marketplace.

Major Darren Goods Major Darren Goods is a thirty-three (33) year veteran of the Memphis Police Department. He has served in many capacities during his tenure with the department including the Uniform Patrol, Robbery, Safe Streets Task Force, Tarnished Blue Task Force, Organized Crime Unit (OCU), Homicide Bureau, and Ridgeway Station General Investigative Bureau. Major Goods is currently the Operations Commander for the Multi-Agency Gang Unit. Major Goods is a graduate of LeMoyne-Owen College and a former US Marine. He has received many department recognitions and awards during his time with MPD including two-time Supervisor of the Year and Precinct Officer of the Year.

Tyler Siddens Tyler Siddens brings 20 years of specialized commercial insurance experience to his clients. Tyler has developed an exclusive sales consulting and coaching program to help agency owners grow their commercial lines business. His program offers insurance professionals an opportunity to learn sales tactics that leverage relationships by counteracting the prevailing culture of “price-focused” selling. Previously, Tyler worked for Federated Insurance, and Liberty Mutual Insurance, before joining CMS in 2003. He works with agency owners across Tennessee, Kentucky, Indiana and Missouri. In 2014, Tyler was named PIA Marketing Rep of the Year and has been proudly involved in PIA for many years.

Timothy G. Russell, CPCU

President, National Association of Professional Insurance Agents 2017-2018 Tim, along with his brother George, is a third generation owner of The Russell Agency, LLC. The Russell Agency is an independent insurance agency located in Southport, CT. Tim received his Bachelors of Business Administration in Risk Management and Insurance, with an Agency Management tract, from The University of Georgia. He joined the Agency in 1994, where he concentrates mainly on Commercial insurance. Since joining the Agency, Tim and George have seen the Agency volume grow many times over. Tim is currently the President of the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents. Founded in 1931, PIA is a national trade association that represents member insurance agents and their employees who sell and service all kinds of insurance, but specialize in coverage of automobiles, homes and businesses. From 2011 till 2017, Tim served as the National Director of the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut. He still enjoys participating in their lobbying efforts both in Hartford and in Washington D.C. During his tenure with PIA CT, he has met with many influential lawmakers including Governors Rell & Malloy, along with Senators Joe Lieberman, Chris Dodd, Richard Blumenthal, and Chris Murphy as well as Representatives Jim Himes, Elizabeth Esty, John Larson, Joe Courtney and Rosa DeLaura. Prior to being elected National Director, Tim served as President of PIA CT. In 2010, Tim was named the National Professional Agent of the Year by the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA). Tim was honored for his contributions to the insurance industry, the independent agency system and to his PIA colleagues, along with his commitment to education, involvement in community affairs and overall success. In 2009, Tim was chosen as the Professional Insurance Agent of the Year by The Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut (PIACT). Tim is a Past President of PIACT. From 2005-2007, Tim served as President of the Southern Connecticut Chapter of the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters. During his term, the Chapter began a series of joint meetings with the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut featuring the Commissioner of Insurance for the State of Connecticut. Tim is very active in civic and industry groups. He served as President of the Fairfield Rotary Club from 2003-2004. During his term, he organized the Club’s first Celebrity Luncheon which has since gone on to raise over $400,000 for local and international charities. Tim is a past member of the Executive Board of the Fairfield Museum and History Centerand a Past President of the Southport Merchants Association. He is the current Chairman of the Southport Blessing of the Fleet and Street Parade. Tim lives in Sandy Hook, CT with his wife Bobbie Sue (also a Georgia grad – Go Dawgs!) and their three children, Judge, Walker, and Mila.

Wendy has 22 years of personal and commercial lines experience in the Insurance Industry. She has achieved the CISR designation. She has worked at Alder & Cox, Inc for the last 10 years which is a full service agency representing both Personal and Commercial lines. Wendy has been married for 32 years today the 28th to husband Jeff Daggett. They have 6 children: Aaron, Nathan, Jillian, Tiffany, Tamara and Camille. They also have 8 beautiful grandchildren Abel, Kenlee, Khloe, Kaley, Peyton, Isaiah, Eli and Asher. She lives in Dayton and travels to and from Chattanooga every day which is about a 80 miles. She is very active in her church, Watts Bar Church in Ten Mile, TN. She has went there for 20 years and she and her husband are currently the Young Adult Pastors.

Mike began his career in 1974, working for the family insurance agency, “Morat Insurance Service Inc.” He graduated from Life Underwriter Training in 1977. He attended CPIA and got his designation back in 1998. In 2003, he started his own agency, Mike Morat Insurance Service, Inc., and has diligently worked in his agency since that time. He has served as the President of The Memphis PIA back in 1994. He has since served as Secretary/Treasurer., up to the present. He has also served (4) terms on The PIA of Tennessee, (Board of Directors.) “I have always felt that PIA of Tennessee is the group that “successful” agents join and continue their membership.” PIA of Tennessee has created those opportunities that allows an agent to be able to make those contacts for company representation.

The Glen R. Page Distinguished Service Award is presented to a person who has given ongoing support of the PIA of Tennessee. It is named after our beloved Past President and Past National Director, who became affectionately known as “Mr. PIA.” There is no formal criteria for the award, except that the nominee has shown such dedication and devotion to the association as to be recognized as a true “friend” of the association, continually contributing to the organization in such a way that is far above the standard service and call of duty. It is similar to a “lifetime achievement award” in the level of recognition. A nomination is made to the Executive Director, outlining the reasons the person nominated is deserving of the recognition. Only one recipient may be presented the award each year. This is not necessarily an ongoing or annual award, and is only presented when appropriate.
