Bikers Against Trafficking (BAT) was started in January, 2016 by Dr. Patrick “Doc” Nave and Diena Cannavino because of the great need that existed to educate those in the United States and around the world about the great tragedy know as Human Sexual Trafficking. At present BAT averages seeing 8 to 10 survivors a week for counseling.

Doc has a doctoral degree in Psychotherapy; is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor & Masters Certified Addiction Professional in the state of Florida; an ordained minister; and owner of Sojourners Recovery & Wellness Center in Lake Mary, Florida. He is also a clinical expert in the area of Human Sex Trafficking and in dealing with issues of intense trauma. He is also a survivor.

Diena is a Human Trafficking survivor who is a Certified Addiction Professional and the Business Director at Sojourners Recovery & Wellness Center in Lake Mary, Florida. She provides clinical counseling for survivors and seeks to make a difference in the lives of others.

Bikers Against Trafficking is a non-profit that exists to educate, equip, empower and mobilize members of the motorcycle community (and those who are like minded) to combat human sex trafficking by building awareness, providing counseling & freeing survivors.

1: Provide counseling and addiction treatment for survivors and their families.

2: Build a presence at Bike Rallies in the United States and Internationally. We also hope to sponsor or co-sponsor bike rallies and poker runs around the country.

3: Provide material and Online resources that teach motorcyclists (and others) how to be aware and what they can do.

4: Connect with area churches and organizations that seek to eradicate Human Trafficking. Partner with all law enforcement agencies and organizations that work to eliminate this blight.

5: Work to eliminate sexual abuse that targets children. It has been discovered that 80-90% of all trafficked survivors have been sexually abused as a child. If we can eliminate this, the risk goes astronomically down.

6: Purchase property where we can build a retreat center & homes to educate, provide counseling, and empower those who have escaped human trafficking by getting them jobs and places to live.

7: Start local groups in each State and Country. We have been invited to speak in the Netherlands, the Ukraine, Washington DC, at the United Nations, and at area biker rallies throughout the US. We communicate regularly to over 7,000 each day via our Facebook page and have taught thousands about Human Trafficking via our “free” workshops.

We have held poker runs, been at rallies, set up at churches and for other organizations.

We have been part of a documentary on human sexual trafficking, been on the radio & television as well as in the newspaper.

We have spoken to Mental Health Counselors and Addiction professionals, presented at churches, business organizations, motorcycle groups, international events and community awareness rallies.

We have provided counseling services for survivors and have talked with tens of thousands face to face at our rallies.

We have been featured in local news, in 2 national biker magazines and are clinical experts in the area of human sex trafficking.

We have partnered with DCF, Devereux, Homeland Security and other State & National agencies/task-forces to battle trafficking.
