WHO REMEMBERS?

The CHEVROLET GREENBRIAR RAMPSIDE AND LOADSIDE were produced from ’61 to ’65. Both trucks were part of Chevys Corvair line. The Loadside was the rarest with approximately 3k or so ever produced from ’61 to ’62 and came with the standard tailgate. The Rampside came standard with a tailgate and a fold down side ramp. These were used by the Bell Telephone Company because loading and unloading of cable drums was greatly eased by the side ramp. As near as I could gather there were less than 20k Rampsides ever produced. Even though the general public must not have been too impressed with either of these models, I kind of like the side ramp idea.
