WELCOME TO FW16 On behalf of everyone here at Tenson, a warm welcome to our FW16 catalogue where you’ll find another collection of great gear for which we’re known and trusted worldwide. This year we’re back in the iconic French alpine town of Chamonix - the birthplace of steep-skiing and alpinism, and a magnet for snow-lovers worldwide. Join us as we showcase the new range and check out the town while waiting for the snow to come. Feedback is a big part of what happens at Tenson; this year in particular, we’ve listened harder to our customers, distributors, suppliers, reps and agents. You asked for consolidation of our successful outerwear line and a wider range of winter-friendly products in the lifestyle and streetwear categories, so that’s what you’ll see. This year, Tenson is happy with the progress that we have made in developing our footwear lines. Our customers seem to agree with us, and we have shown really favourable market response globally. Shoes for running, hiking and trail-walking are a big part of our story this year. Furthermore, thanks to some new key relationships and appointments, we have been able to strengthen our positions in many countries; there’s a new sales agent in Finland, a new distributor in Germany and a new distribution partner in Canada and the US. And our Slovenian agent Urska Hrovat is a former professional skier racer from the Slovenian alpine ski team, who used to race with Sweden’s own Pernilla Wiberg. So, things are good here. Our organisation continues to grow and attract new talent - and we’ll always keep listening to you to make sure that we stay on track.

SPINDYE

For those of you who lead a very active life, we recommend Dermizax. It offers high levels of water proofing and minimal condensation, no matter the intensity of your activity while its highly efficient non-porous membrane structure delivers maximum breathability. A durable, flexible fabric for the real adventurer.

Better colorfastness, less chemical waste and no use of water. Dyeing is normally done in a special solution containing pigment, chemicals and a lot of water. With SpinDye, pigments are instead added to the spinning solution before the solution is extruded through the spinneret. Through this process, the color pigments become a part of the fiber and the SpinDye fabric gains exellent colorfastness. Reduces chemical usage by 50-90% and cuts the carbon footprint number in half. How is that possible? It’s possible because SpinDye simply takes the water out of the process.

Fully recyclable and featuring density that is 20 to 30% higher than conventional materials, its fine pores allow moisture on the inside to be wicked away while at the same time, preventing water permeation from the outside. As well as outstanding water resistance, we created Air Push to be strong yet light. This means that it doesn’t stiffen and hinder freedom of movement when the temperature drops. Good news for those of us who see cold weather as a challenge as opposed to an obstacle. And when you finally come back indoors, Air Push allows your garment to dry faster – so you can get back outside again.
