Going by reports from the news, the situation in Libya now is becoming more and more serious everyday. As a matter of fact, many people have been injured or killed while those that are fortunate enough have fled the country. The governments of many countries have ordered the evacuation of their citizens from the crisis country of Libya. The intervention by the most powerful nations in the globe with the adoption of the army seems to have no impact on the crisis as at now because the protest still persists. Right now in Libya, Gaddafi who is the man at the helm of affairs has gone as far as engaging the military against the innocent citizens of the country which has resulted in serious violence. As a matter of fact, Government quarters have threatened that the major supply lines and oil wells would be destroyed to cause irreparable harm to the economy of Libya. Also, the situation in Libya has led to the continued increase in the price of crude oil and has made the price to remain unpredictable ever since. The implication of this is that recovery in the highly developed western world will slow down particularly in those countries where high fuel prices are of great concern. As at now, Libya has been sanctioned by the United Nations (UN) which may likely bring quick termination to the present state of affairs. However, the crisis has done serious harm to infrastructure and oil industry of the country which has affected and will still continue to affect oil price. The removal of the dictator and head of government in Libya (Gaddafi) has being duly backed by the Middle East and it was of recent that a warrant of arrest was issued against him. What Lead To The Crisis In Libya Dictatorship is the major problem that led to the present crisis in Libya. Gaddafi who has being the head of government for more than 40 years does not want to respect people's opinion as people can not express their candid opinion against his regime simply because all opinions and ideas would be wrong. For this reason, people want him to vacate the seat of power for a democratically elected government that would be prepared to carry them along in the affairs of the country. Dishonesty and non openness approach of the present government is another problem that lead to the crisis in Libya. For a government to be credible there must be transparency which the government of Libya is lacking. The head of government of Libya operates in isolation by taking decisions that he feels is right to him without listening to suggestions and ideas from other people. For the reason, people have lost the confidence that they imposed on him initially.

It should be noted that there in no human being that is an island. For a country like Libya to move forward, other people's opinions ought to be respected. Policies that will improve the standard of living of the entire citizen should be put in place while other people's opinions against the government should not be proved wrong. There must be sense of belonging on the part of the citizens.
