October 2016 Neo Futurism is a movement of the 21st century and developed in the area of design, Urbanism and architecture. This movement could be seen as a deviation from the postmodern attitude. Neo Futurism represents an idealistic belief in the future better. We can read The Neo Futuristic City Manifesto written by Vito di Bari. Artists, urban planners, designers and architects Neo Futuristic think in the creation of new cities with policies of eco sustainability, the development of new materials and new technologies to provide a better quality of life for the inhabitants. The vision of the future applied science and technology to reduce poverty, diseases, pollution and malnutrition. The futuristic vision actively assesses potential future technologies and innovative social systems to improve the quality of life of the human being. However, I believe that Neo Futurism has a monolithic concept and once again clings to the time of the great narratives as the modernity of the 20th century. Neo Futurism does not fit much with the social and geographical reality of the world. I am a defender of the futuristic vision to be more practical and applicable to social and geographical reality that the Neo Futurism. I think about a new concept including the Other, Alter and hence would be called Alter Futurism. The other is a term used in philosophy, psychoanalysis and anthropology also known as the Alter or Otherness. The notion of the Alter or the Other is closely linked to national identities, regions, groups and because admission and segregation practices can form borders and national or local character. Alterity or Otherness helps distinguish between the family and the distant, between the truth and the uncertain. The opinion of the philosopher Sartre, Other is alienating insofar as it is an object which objectifies the ego. On the contrary for Merleau-Ponty the Other it is the basis for the existence of the subject.

From my point of view I believe that one is important for biodiversity, which holds that there are to look at other cultures from other cultures and not ours. The vision of the Other defends the validity and richness of culture opposed to ethnocentrism system. The Alter Futurism built the futuristic and technological vision based on the Other and diversity. It promotes the creation of institutions that teach and support the vision of the future, the technologies; the use of new materials, inventions and discoveries in science with the freedom of cultural expression for each group is local, regional or national. It also supports the cultural mixing or hybridization in a global world. It defends freedom of expression in design, architecture, urbanism, art and functional art to relax all technological standardization. The Alter Futurism defends the coexistence of many cultures, groups or individuals and respecting diversity to build a futuristic vision broad, varied and rich use of styles, designs, visions, new materials, forms of expressions and new inventions free of all standardization aesthetic respecting freedom of cultural expression of the human being.
