Accessories Crafted from Tshirts
Every piece begins as a tshirt that I convert into yarn.
Finding great colors and carefully deconstructing them is the most time consuming part of the TeePearls process.
This is a tshirt harvesting ensemble.
I ended up with quite a haul from the Garment District that day.
After all the prep, I like making a few quick bracelets.

TeePearls are always evolving
Not every product has made it past the prototype phase. This hat, scarf, headband fiasco got stuck on my head.
First TeePearls Lace Necklace
An endless number of color combinations are available.
I personally wear a Long String of Teepearls more often than any other style.
TeePearls completed my Frida Kahlo calavera Day of the Dead costume.
I enjoy sending out small packages to friends and family.
Packaging is at least half of the reason I started TeePearls.
I designed the TeePearls logo and put together all the tags and pouches that accompany each piece.
All packed up and ready to send off.
TeePearls have traveled to places I haven't been.
This is an order that went out to Minnesota.
Selling TeePearls online on Etsy has been a challenge due to their unique material and design. Photos are very important in creating a sense of how TeePearls look and feel in person.
Attempts at taking product photos of myself modeling new styles of TeePearls result in dressing goofy and messing around.
Then I get bored and try to take artsy photos of things in my apartment.
Sometimes my friends are nice enough to model...
...and I try to make them laugh the whole time.
Having a professional take product photos yields the best results.
Sometimes I venture out into local fairs and bazaars.

I like creating new display options and meeting my customers, but spending time making TeePearls is my main preoccupation. With a full time job, it's difficult for me to build up stock, prepare for events and be able to keep up the energy for a day long fair so...
...TeePearls are making their way into stores!
I'm always looking for new retail and consignment opportunities.

I take photos as I make things. I've also been lucky enough to have product shoots with Nicholas Valenzuela & Artur Andronic.
