Seagrass Meadows
Since 2018, we carry out monitoring of seagrass meadows in San Quintin Bay to estimate its extension, determine their state of conservation, and observe the abundance of marine organisms.

The information obtained from monitoring will be helpful to know if there is a negative effect caused by desalination plants located within the bay. Seagrass meadows are important because they provide home to fish and crustaceans, they also bring shelter and food to thousands of migratory birds during the winter.
