Our mission is to protect and manage natural areas in Baja California, and one of the protected sites is the Valle Tranquilo Nature Reserve, where we monitor wildlife using camera traps. This allows us to know the mammals and birds that live there and that are part of the natural heritage.

Thanks to this tool we know that the reserve is home to pumas, deers, coyotes, bobcats, foxes, and quails. This year we’re particularly excited because we registered more pumas than previous years. W

e seek to protect the nature reserves in the long term through the certification of an Area Voluntarily Destined for Conservation given by the Mexican government. Also, staff members and park rangers carry out management activities in the nature reserves, such as installing signs, monitoring, delimiting trails, attending visitors, among others.
