Derived from experience acquired in the field of gas turbines, these components are fabricated with materials often used in the aerospace sector in order to ensure correct operation up to a temperature of 1500 °C.

ASSURED IGNITION IN ANY CONDITION High energy equipment: The high energy or the capacity discharge ignition systems use the particular characteristics of a power amplifier circuit that can generate sparks (max 10/sec) with a power of several Joules. The regular sparking is not affected by the presence of dirt or humidity on the electrodes. It is the best suited system to ignite hardly flammable combustibles. It can often replace traditional pilot torches. MODULAR HIGH ENERGY POWER UNIT TeSi developed this modular device in order to facilitate the triggering of burners installed on Flares at elevated heights. The ignition unit is in fact increasingly more often installed in a remote position with respect to the ignition electrode. Thanks to the innovative jump discharge circuit, this device is able to generate a spark up to a distance of 500 m. Compared to the traditional model, this power pack provides a smoother jump spark power distribution, thereby allowing ignition even with the most difficult combustibles. The particular manufacturing process makes it completely impermeable to external agents. TeSi therefore suggests its use if installed in difficult conditions (high humidity, deposits, oxidation…). HIGH TENSION (HT) IGNITION POWER UNITS These simple systems employ the high-voltage power unit (usually 6000/8000 V) in order to generate an electric arc with low power (150/300 W). They are suitable in the presence of highly inflammable combustibles. They do not tolerate high thermal stresses, and they poorly tolerate the presence of humidity and combustion residuals. They represent the inexpensive solution to ignition problems. The ignition spark is generated by a simple insulated ceramic spark plug. TeSi fabricates a wide range of spark plugs, even explosion-proof.

EXPLOSION-PROOF All power packs, both the HE and the HT, can be realized as ATEX II 2GD explosion-proof, for EExdIIB or EExdIIC areas, for stationary or mobile use. Several versions are provided with the appropriate certification documents.

HIGH VOLTAGE AND HIGH TEMPERATURE CONNECTION CABLES Each ignition system is equipped with the proper connection devices. Cables are available with the desired length, and set in different configurations, in order to comply with the constraints associated to the clientspecified area and operating temperature.
HIGH ENERGY MOBILE IGNITER Version IP65 - Model XE 18 PB00 TeSi developed this device in order to ease the trigger of igniters not provided with a proper ignition unit (pilot torch or otherwise). Furthermore, this device is a valuable resource in case of emergency or breakdown of the former systems. Compared to the previous XE8Pb92 model, this power supply generates a more-than-double spark power (18 J, compared to 8 J), allowing ignition even with the most difficult combustibles, without being affected by the hardest conditions (humidity, deposits, oxidations). MAIN FEATURES • 2 powerful sparks (18 Joule each) every second • Endurance: approximately 800 ignition cycles with a fully charged and in good condition battery • Power supply connector for the battery recharger • Indicator of battery charge by means of a multi-coloured LED Connection cables and igniters are furnished with the desired length.

The complete recharging process takes at least 24 hours. The unit is protected from any possible overload. Recharge is simply performed by connecting the provided extension cable with the black wired connector on the superior plate of the device. The extension cable is 1.5 meters (4.92 feet) long and it has a loose plug of type SHUCO. Always verify the correspondence of the input voltage. Do not recharge in restricted areas.
