How to fix the conflicts that are detected during interference checking in Revit? Well, the fact remains that identification of clashes is not sufficient for avoiding potential clashes until and unless they are effectively fixed by concerned AEC professionals. As potential conflicts are detected in Revit between elements of dynamic building trades it’s extensively important that they are dealt with utmost severity for refining the design. It’s vital for AEC professionals to understand the nature of the conflicts so that right solutions can be provided for them. After interference check is completed users are required to examine the ‘Interference Report’ that is generated by Revit for implementing the changes on elements which interfere with each other. Steps taken for fixing identified conflicts  

The first and most important step in this process is to effectively examine the ‘Interference Report’ that can be accessed from Interference Report dialog. Interference Report dialog displays in front of users only when clashes or conflicts are detected during interference checking process in Revit. On the other hand if nothing is detected in term of conflicts, no such report is generated. When clashes are identified Interference Report dialog lists each and every conflict that is detected in the process. For example interferences are detected between roof and floor, and then Interference Report dialog is bound to list all the conflicting points. For viewing the elements that are conflicting with each other, Revit users are required to click ‘Show’ after selecting a certain element in Interference Report dialog. As soon as ‘Show’ is clicked by users a view is displayed in front of users that show the conflict. If Revit users want to correct the conflict at that point of time itself, they are required to click the view for making modifications on the elements that are overlapping. Even though modifications are made by users by clicking on the view, the Interference Report dialog can still remain visible to users. As soon as problem of conflict is rectified by users they are required to click ‘Refresh’ in the Interference Report dialog. Once ‘Refresh’ is clicked the earlier listed conflict is removed from the list as it is now sorted out. If in case additional help is required the report can be copied and should be provided to concerned professionals for resolving the clashes.

In this way clashes can be resolved in Revit.
