Why are coordination services required for multidiscipline 3D models? Instead of directly explaining, why we need coordination services, I would first like to throw some light on what is coordination process and what do we mean by multidiscipline 3D models. Well, multidiscipline 3D models are nothing but the BIM models that are developed by BIM technicians or modelers for representing the design of different building systems such as architecture, structure and MEP. And coordination process is nothing but the process of clubbing together all these different 3D models.

Well, now coming back to my main point, coordination services are very crucial because of the fact that with their assistance architects and engineers are able to figure out whether the models created by them are accurate or not. The main purpose of coordination is to become aware that different models can be easily accommodated into one single master model.
