“Tesmec increases its presence in Social Networks” The Tesmec Group is increasing its presence in the real world, and in the virtual world, thanks to social networks and web sites. In the web 2.0 era, social media channels are an essential and powerful way to increase a company’s trustworthiness and brand awareness. This web strategy allows us to meet new people and businesses in our own community and across the world: Tesmec’s business activity follows this trend to advertise and promote Tesmec products and technologies. Individuals and businesses can become “friends” or “fans” of the Tesmec profile, and can keep track of events, such as exhibitions and convention, and other essential information the business would like to share. Tesmec pages reflect the atmosphere of its business. The website and social networks pages are constantly updated,

in sync with news about the group and products; thus having immediate global resonance. Tesmec is able to reach out directly to its customers all over the World through social media: the result is going to be a great amount of credibility and loyalty. Thanks to social networks, we expect customer reviews and feedback that can help us improve our products and services. Here below are the main advantages: • Increase our brand credibility: social media channels make it easier and more flexible for us to start relationships with new customers. • Generate a highly powerful traffic for the official website. • Real-time update of our profile and stronger relationship with our customers.


TesmecMag 01#2013 Almost all social networks come with instruments that measure and report trends, through different parameters and metrics. These features are very useful to do social media analysis and consequently define future strategies. Below is a summary of Tesmec data and contents per social network.

FACEBOOK is the most popular social network used across the world. Tesmec registered its own public page in June 2009 and added a variety of contents ranging from photos to videos and news. Nowadays over 400 people from 20 different countries “like” our page. Fans are people who participate with comments and feedbacks, need after sale consultancy, and also internal staff who supports and trusts its own group. Our challenge for the future is to double the “likes” and enrich our community.

YOUTUBE Original Channels have awesome content from the world’s most innovative media brands. Its compelling videos are catered to the ways people behave and advertise today. Tesmec Channel has been registered in June 2009, and offers many videos. Our channel counts more than 2,875,000 views and more than 400 fans who contribute with comments to our videos. This proves the importance of the YouTube platform for our business. The most popular video is “Tesmec-TRS 1475 BucketGammond UK” with more than 2,000,000 views and more than 700 “likes”. We are planning to enrich the content offered with new videos about our latest products in action. TesmecMag 01#2013 ISSUU is an online service that allows a realistic and customizable view of digital material. Uploaded print material is viewed through any web browser and is customized to perfectly fit the layout of our website. This allows the uploaded material to look like a printed publication with an animated page flip option. Issuu is integrated to social networking sites and allows us to promote our uploaded material: catalogs, brochures and newsletters (TesmecMAG, TesmecNEWS). Tesmec has been member of Issuu since May 2010, and our current library counts 200 publications. Our publications have almost 3,000 reads and 22,000 impressions. Currently the most read issue in the last 6 months is the “Stringing Equipment Catalog”, with more than 920 views.

LINKEDIN is a social networking site for people in professional occupations, through which members can upload their resumes, connect with old colleagues, and find new chances of business. Tesmec Group has a LinkedIn profile that contains the following information: a corporate profile summary, a short list of the products, and a page with updated news about the staff. Tesmec profile has more than 300 followers. We use it to let people know the rate of growth in human resources, but it can also be used as a powerful instrument to find new and young resources.

TWITTER is a micro blogging and social networking site, which allows its users to read and send text-based posts of up to 140 typeset. These posts are also called “tweets”. It also allows you to make new friends by just following a particular item or subject. Tesmec’s Twitter account tweets news in sync with our Facebook page. It is a platform concerning just our news, followed by more than 70 users. Our aim is to increase the basket of users and enforce our twitting echo.

As social media have a main role in global marketing, our aim for 2013 is to invest time and resources to develop and diffuse our profile in the newest social media, such as Google+ and Pinterest. Google+ offers a profile page to share news with circles of right networks. Since it is a service provided by Google, we expect to gain good visibility in Google searches as well. Pinterest is a social platform inspired by real-life pinboards, connecting people from all over the world through shared interests. It has the potential to organize and share all the information and news that involve us on the web. Another goal set by Tesmec for the immediate future, is to involve customers and followers through special campaigns with bonus gadgets. Stay tuned and follow us...
