2018
has so many blessings in store!
Take a moment to list, and to feel appreciation for, all that you are now choosing to manifest in the upcoming year. For each of the following sections, list the conditions in each life area that you are now bringing in. Write them in the present tense, as if they’re already true. Examples:
My talents are appreciated and valued at work. I have more than enough money to spare and share. I am in love with a wonderful person who loves me back. I laugh often and have fun everyday.
Wealth & Prosperity
Luxury is your birthright. Lavish prosperity is your natural state. YOU ARE the abundance of the Universe, temporarily expressed in human form.
Career & Life Path
Deep at the core of your being, there is an endless well of joy. This is the authentic depth of what moves you. When you live from this place, your enthusiasm is boundless, and there is a natural sense of flow to all that you do.
Attune to the Energies of the Day Each day has its own unique magic.
Our lives become more harmonious, lucky, and fun when we pay attention to the vibrational aspects that characterize each day. One of the easiest and most effective ways to do this is to take a look at three factors, all of which you’ll find in this calendar on any given day:
the moon’s phase, the moon’s sign, & the day of the week.
The Moon’s Phase The new moon is the first day of a
fresh new cycle of energy. It’s a time for setting intentions and planting the seeds of your desires in the fertile field of your consciousness.
The waxing moon is a time of
increase and growing momentum. It’s perfect for initiating projects, beneficial relationships, and really anything you’d like to see expand.
The full moon is the energetic apex of the cycle: magical energies of all varieties are at a peak. So if there’s something you’d like to call in – protection, abundance, romance, etc. – this is a great time do it. Blessings, celebrations, and magical workings in general are usually appropriate at this time. Magic related to banishing or releasing can also be powerful to initiate now, as the full moon marks the moment when the moon stops waxing and begins to wane.
The waning moon is about
unwinding, unbinding, banishing, and letting go. It’s a great time to release things that no longer serve you, such as unhealthy habits, unnecessary relationship drama, negative self-talk, and limiting beliefs, as well as any other form of clutter in your mind, body, spirit, and home.
January 2018 Welcome to Your Most Magical Year Yet!
Because of the cultural significance placed on the turning of the year, we can’t help but feel we’re embarking on a fresh new phase. But this feeling isn’t just about the renumbering of the Gregorian year: it has an astrological basis as well. Starting at the Winter Solstice over a week ago, the Wheel of the Year has begun to ascend toward the brighter half: the days have ceased to diminish and have begun growing longer and brighter. What’s more, in the realm of lunar years, we are wrapping up the Year of the Yin Fire Rooster as we prepare (next month) to transition into the Year of the Yang Earth Dog. These two factors – the reboot of the solar cycle and the wrapping up of the lunar year – combine neatly with the fact that the sun is in dutiful, goal-driven Capricorn to deliver the impulse to clear away that which no longer serves as we focus on creating positive changes in the realms of health, career, finance, & home. We begin this month with a more – particularly starting the new moon on January clearing, breaking old habits, elegant minimum.

benefit of clearing clutter from schedule, and home is that you will and paving the way for Divine to flow into your life experience.
Spells to Jazz Up Your January The Gemini full moon on January 1st is a great time to magically empower your highest and most positive visions for the year ahead.
Solitary magic workers might light a white pillar candle, smudge with white sage, play some magical music, and spend some time crafting a written description of your most wonderful possible year. Imagine it’s December 31, 2018 and you’re looking back on the amazing year you just had. As you craft your year in the past and present tense, conjure up an immense amount of gratitude for all the conditions you describe, as if they are already 100% tangible in your life now. As a variation of this ritual for two or more, prepare a meal and set a magical ambiance with candles and music. Imagining that it’s December 31, 2018, share your meal and take turns talking about all the amazing things that have happened to you in the previous year. Take immense joy in everyone else’s successes and blessings as they describe them, always conjuring up the sense that all of this really and truly has already manifested in the physical world. See this as a celebratory meal for all of you, considering all of your fabulous successes in 2018.
Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 15th falls on a dark moon, so it would be an
ideal time to work magic related to banishing racism and bigotry. Light a blue candle and smudge a globe or an image of planet earth with a bundle of desert sage as you chant, “Racism and bigotry, be banished now from the face of the earth. Be banished now in all directions of time. Return now to your native nothingness. The tide is changing, the time is now. Love and peace prevail now and always. As I will it, so mote it be.” The Capricorn new moon on January 16th is custom made for a goal-empowerment ritual. Light a maroon candle and some cedar incense, and make a list of your goals, particularly related to career/life path and finances. (It’s a good idea to get in the habit of writing your goals in the present tense, as if they’re already true.) Then take a little time with each goal and write out some concrete, incremental steps you can take toward manifesting it. Even if they’re baby steps, they will still propel you that much closer to reaching your goal. Perhaps more significantly, any concrete action you take, no matter how tiny, helps magically dial you into the frequency of that which you desire. The Leo full moon on January 31st is a perfect time to play and have fun. The moon sign lends itself to seeing and being seen, and the fact that the sun has moved into Aquarius makes it an ideal moment to shake off all the seriousness and focus of the previous month. Consider hosting a sacred dance party, attending a dance class, or going out dancing with some friends. Before you get lost in the music and movement, set the intention to open up to joy, laughter, and your most positive life momentum and flow.
