Made in Belarus! New and upgraded models of weapons, military and special equipment were demonstrated to Leonid Maltsev, the State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus, Nikolai Patrushev, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Artur Baghdasaryan, the Secretary of the National Security Council of the Republic of Armenia, Abdurahim Kahharov, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Tajikistan after completion of the active phase of the interallied strategic exercise “West-2013”. They were presented on exhibition and stationary sites within areas ordered in accordance with complex systems corresponding to the development areas of the equipment of the Armed Forces. The feature of this event was the demonstration of new or experimental models not exhibited before as well as demonstration of models adopted for service with Belarusian Armed Forces over the last years and batch produced at the enterprises that are affiliated with the State Military Industrial Committee and defence sector of the economy. Capabilities of some new and upgraded weapons and military equipment, their compliance with stated tactical and performance characteristics and prospective concept of the Armed Forces were tested during exercise “West-2013”. During the demonstration of weapons and military equipment the Air Defence system was represented by the T38 STILET, TOR-M2 Air Defence Missile Systems, and the P-18/TRS-2D radar; staff vehicles were presented by the REDUT unified command and staff vehicle and a mobile navigation and topographic system. Dual purpose equipment of the defence industry system of the Republic of Belarus was demonstrated by Open Joint Stock Company Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant and Joint Stock Company Minsk Automobile Plant. Currently the Armed Forces and power structures in about twenty countries have in service state-of-the-art military purpose products manufactured in Belarus. “Made in Belarus” is a brand, a kind of quality mark.
