RECLAIMED BY NATURE Emma Linney
Reclaimed by Nature is a project exploring a variety of colours, textures and reclaimed materials to create unique and distinctive commercial Interior Surfaces.
The aim of the project was to create beautifully upcycled and repurposed surfaces using a variety of techniques to show the breadth of the design practice and the possibilities of the materials. It was very important to preserve the qualities of the wood was so that there was a visible link between the materials previous life and its new one.
The project was inspired by nature using autumn as a base for the colour palette and leaves and flowers for image inspiration. These samples have been created using hand drawing, printing and digital design techniques.
These samples were designed for a commercial setting to help promote sustainable design practices, raising awareness of reuse and upcycling as an alternative design technique.
