Modern Reformation Inspired by the air of revolution growing, and the desire for change within the foundational structures of society. Modern Reformation challenges old customs and values by subverting tradition and re-creating a folklore of its own. Fuelled by the attention on Russia through the winter Olympics in 2014, and sustained by the excitement caused by the approaching world cup in 2018, we cannot deny our fascination with Russian heritage. However a confusion of emotions has been stirred. Our eyes are drawn to the existing corruption and narrow-minded attitudes that prevail within the Russian government and governments worldwide. The UK elections in may remind us of past promises broken and provoke a desire to see a new system. Modern reformation is the awakening of a new-order. Institutions are de-constructed and re-formed to create something fresh and beautiful.

ARTCHITECTURAL SRTUCTURES
Architectural Structures The Trend is bold angry and fragmented. There is an air of confusion around the arrangement of line and angular shapes as they are broken down and rebuilt. Contrasting textures are layered. The use of negative and positive spaces is a key aspect of the trend as a optical aesthetic is constructed. Intricate Black lace forms ornamented and embellished areas of pattern. Balanced by clean, minimal line and space. Structural knitted garments overlay intricate prints. Remnants of bright bold textiles are embroidered onto garments providing beautiful areas of texture contrasting with flat printed surfaces.
