DEPLOY FOR A DAY 172D INFANTRY BRIGADE UNITED STATES ARMY GARRISON GRAFENWOEHR UNIT 28130 APO AE 09114-8130 ORDERS: BH-KIDS-2011 All willing Blackhawk Kids will be in deployed status for a period of one day to fulfill the requirements of Operation Blackhawk Kids. Parents are encouraged to pre-register your children for the deployment. You can do so by visiting: www.surveymonkey.com/s/blackhawk-kids-graf Assigned to: 172ND IN BDE Purpose: Deployment will be in support of OPERATION BLACKHAWK KIDS. Each child will complete a Soldier Readiness Program, Mission Activities, and Homecoming to better understand what deployed parents are accomplishing in their support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Number of days: Not to exceed one day. Will proceed on: 22 October 2011 from 1000—1500 Mission Requirements: - Land Navigation - Medical Field Training - Obstacle Course - NERF Weapons Qualification - Emergency Vehicle Demonstration Deployment Location: Grafenwoehr Field House Additional Instructions: Pre-registration is encouraged, but same-day registration will be available. Children ages 4 & under will participate in activities within the Field House. Children 5 & up will complete Soldier Readiness Program in the Field House and move to their missions in the surrounding outdoor areas. Please dress accordingly for weather. Homecoming Ceremony will be in the Field House and will include awards and prizes for all Blackhawk Kids. Parents are required to remain on-site for the duration of the event.
