Elementary German II GERM 112 (3 credits) Learning a second language gives you an edge in the global marketplace and enhances your appreciation and understanding of the world in which you live. As the next course in the German language series Elementary German II expands upon the listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills learned in the preceding course.

Topics include:

Countries and cultures in which German is spoken Understanding instructions and directions given in German Vocabulary associated with lodging, restaurants, transportation, and shopping Connecting ideas with conjunctions and answering basic personal question Expressing events in the present and past tense

Tuesday and Thursday, 1800-2100, 24 October - 18 December May be applied toward the general education requirement in the arts and humanities; certificate or associate’s/bachelor’s degree requirements in German foreign language area studies programs; or elective credit. Note: This course is not open to native speakers of German. Enrollment requires completion of GERM 111 or appropriate score on a placement test.
