Before you are given AR101
You must not swallow the capsule. AR101 will need to be mixed into a food, which can’t be hot or too watery.
Before your doctor can give you AR101, they need to check whether you are healthy. They will check that you aren’t ill, don’t have a fever, and will carry out tests to understand how well your lungs are working, as well as measuring your body temperature.
Good foods to do this with include porridge, hummus, or yoghurt. Foods you shouldn’t mix it into include soup and smoothies.
How and when should I take AR101? Useful Tip Use some kind of physical reminder to start the routine off, like pinning a post-it note to your fridge, or setting an alarm on your phone.

Personal Notes When you have a peanut allergy, you may experience different emotions, such as embarrassment, frustration or fear. Some people don’t want to talk or think about their peanut allergy at all. It can be normal to feel like you can’t do things like eating at restaurants, going to parties or on trips. But the goal of AR101 is to desensitise your immune system to peanut. If the treatment is successful you’ll be less likely to have a reaction if you are exposed to peanut, and if you do have a reaction it should be less severe. Use this section to note things down and as a personal record during your treatment.
