FOR YOUTH DEVELOPMENT We impact families and our community by encouraging healthy choices and togetherness through our “Growing Stronger Families Together” initiative. This free full family membership gives participants the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities and programs while strengthening their relationships and meeting other families.

Healthy U… Healthy U is a behavior change program that will help reduce childhood obesity through education on proper nutrition, increased physical activity and parental engagement. Healthy U utilizes the CATCH (Coordinated Approach To Child Health) curriculum, which teaches children that both healthy eating and physical activity is fun. CATCH will create healthy habits in childhood that can last a lifetime! The Healthy U Program is now incorporated within our pre-school setting.

EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT CENTER The YMCA believe the values and skills learned early on are vital building blocks for quality of life and future success. That’s why at the Early Childhood Development Center we provide care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years in a safe, nurturing, educational and enriching environment. Our value based program is designed to enhance and enrich each child’s cognitive, social, physical and emotional growth. At the Y, children will learn through self exploration and guided discovery with the High Scope Curriculum. Through collaboration with parents and families we provide support and strive to meet the developmental needs and temperament of each child. We provide additional opportunities that encourage children to learn, grow and thrive including our youth sports, dance and creative development programs. “The open-door policy at the Y made it easy to observe the children and their teachers in various situations and I was always impressed with how the staff handled the children. This is not always the case in a child care program and it’s a testament to the training and guidance that you provide to your staff.”

FOR SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY Because we truly are in this together, and together we can harness our individual strengths and bring about positive change around us.

ALWAYS HERE FOR THE COMMUNITY

Housing/Social Services The Elizabeth Branch offers extensive housing and social service programs to support individuals and families in need of a safe environment with opportunities to restructure their lives. Our goal is to provide a continuum of care that provides the assistance necessary to transition from homelessness to self-sufficiency. We offer a full range of housing opportunities from temporary transitional to permanent housing for men, women and families. We also offer supportive housing programs for individuals and families with disabilities, as well as Project Sustain, a Mommy and Me residential program for pregnant women and women with children who are in recovery from addiction. For additional information please contact: Elizabeth Branch at 908-355-9622. (Referrals required for housing placement)

YMCA ANNUAL CAMPAIGN Supporting Neighbors in Need Every day, we work side-by-side with our neighbors to make sure that everyone, regardless of age, income or background, has the opportunity to learn, grow and thrive. The YMCA Annual Campaign financial assistance program is funded by donations made by generous Y members, community leaders, corporations, volunteers and staff. Can you help us help others in our community? When you give to the Y, your gift will have a meaningful, enduring impact right here in our own neighborhood. Be on the lookout at your YMCA branch on ways you can donate or be involved with the 2017 YMCA Annual Campaign.
