knowledge and available for all to see online tomorrow, in Thailand we often have to wait months to know what the market is doing right now. Obviously there is anecdotal evidence, mostly from developers, that appears from time to time in the form of a press release about a successful new launch, but that’s not indicative of the market as a whole. To know the state of the market right now, in the first quarter of this year, it will likely be mid-May before the larger agencies with their research departments publish their Q1 data – and even then it can be contradictory due to reliance of companyspecific data as opposed to the market as a whole. One thing we have started at Thailand Property is to publish a weekly story detailing the top areas of search activity in Bangkok for property rentals. It’s proved to be enlightening, and whilst also being as up-to-date as anything in the market, it also provides valuable information for real estate agents, owners and developers to see where people are searching right now. Over time we will be publishing much more of this sort of data for the public and our clients to better enable them to get a feel for what’s happening right now. With our online visitors growing sharply each month and providing us with more and more comprehensive search data, we are excited about becoming an ever more important source of such information. This issue sees us include our Regional pages for the first time, offering coverage outside of Thailand and reflecting Dot Property Group’s expansion into the neighboring countries. We now operate nine property portal websites across Asia

To cite one example we’ve already seen three U.K. property investment events aimed solely at buyers and investors in Bangkok – and that’s direct competition for many projects throughout Thailand.
