ChaTraMue’s history began more than 100 years ago with their first tea shop setup in China – years later, the family migrated to Thailand and set up another shop in Bangkok. Subsequently the shop in Bangkok was destroyed and burned to the ground during the second World War. The tea business was rebuilt after the war when ChaTraMue re-established in 1945!

ChaTraMue’s main products were initially Chinese Teas which were traditionally served as hot teas but the locals preferred cold beverages due to Thailand’s warm climate. To meet locals’ demand, “Thai Tea” or “Cha Yen” under ChaTraMue brand was developed to cater to the locals’ palette right up to this day.

With 75 years of research and development, ChaTraMue mastered the art of tea making, blending quality Thai Tea that has a unique aroma, fragrance and taste.

ChaTraMue’s factory is located in Chiang Rai where the climate is best suited for tea and coffee plantations. Only carefully selected fresh tea leaves and coffee seeds are harvested to ensure the quality of its products. With their long-standing experience in research and development, tea leaves and coffee seeds are blended with high quality controls meeting industry standards such as gMP, hACCP, halal, etc.

ChaTraMue has a dedicated Research & Development Center with Manufacturing Facilities to continue meeting market demands with innovative blending and packaging. They continued to uphold their foundational value of quality products with reasonable pricing satisfying local and international customers!

having built a reputation over the years, ChaTraMue is not only a household name but gained fans from overseas too with their recognizable red and gold logo with a Thumb-up image embedded within it, the Thumb-up was their original logo that translated in the current company’s name ChaTraMue. Their Thai Tea is so popular with overseas visitors to Thailand often filling their luggage with cans of Thai Tea as souvenirs for their families and friends back home. Today, ChaTraMue has over 100 stores in Thailand and several stores across Asia while making plans to go into the China market.

ChaTraMue offers traditional tea and innovative creations such as blended teas and desserts at selected stores. Their latest products include a new blend of Oolong Tea that is easy to brew, with stronger, richer taste and flavor. They have launched a series of 3-in-1 products that consists of collagen and germinated brown rice, in a selection of Coffee, Cocoa, Matcha and Thai Tea.
