THE S I S
Community center for homeless and vulnerable queer people along with the gender-neutral public park us ing a neighborhood as a canvas.
Humans are epicene i.e. don’t know to distinguish genders by nature. Gender in itself is an arbitrary system created by humans. Gender prejudices passed on by generations create illogical inequalities.

The main intent is to empower the vulnerable queer through skills de velopment, to blur boundaries by ed ucating about gender, and neutral ize gender and issues created by it.

The project consists of 3 parts: the symbol - queer and gender-neutral center, the core - people’s park, and the pedestrian bridge which connects the core and symbol.
The park is being zoned into 6 main circular plazas functioning as OATs which can be used for gather ings and events, Queer work display plaza where they get to display their works on curved walls and platforms, a water play plaza, a sports court plaza.
These 6 circles are placed to form a loop, a wall is built along the loop called Queer loop. It has the his tory of the queer through the years, their sufferings, achievements, & experiences. Countoured seatings & water bodies are zoned along the loop.

Out installation
We eat the plastic which we use. We all are well aware of this fact, but the plastic in our food is not in the same form as we used to or visible to our eye, which makes us forget about that fact. Humans are using too many plastics and the sea and sea beings are fed by these plastics.
Will we be willing to eat food mixed with visible plastic? The site is chosen as a beach where WATER - LAND - HU MANS are the main elements and also a place where plastic pollution is seen a lot.
Giant humans figure about 1.5 times larger than the human scale made of polycarbonate is filled with plastic wastes. Here the term “plastics we consume” is exemplified by giving it a familiar form to humans. And the plastics filled inside denote the plastic fed to the sea, finally reaching human food. These figures are given forms similar to human activities seen on a beach, making them one among us.

The project is to design group housing and a vibrant community for working individuals and families who work in and near Guindy industrial estate and other nearby commercial areas.

The site is in closer proximity of 500 m from the nearby bus stop ( Ekkatuthangal bus stop ) and metro station ( Ekkatuthan gal station ).

Dolphin Knife
The project brief is to design cutlery with the physical feature of an animal. The chosen animal is the dolphin, torpedo-shaped body with generally non-flexible necks, limbs modified into flippers, a tail fin, and bulbous heads. The fluidic and torpedo form is used in the design.

Our urban design group of 10 members brief was to design a master plan for Chen nai central. The sub-group work of 2 members was to design the Rippon building and the victoria hall surrounding area as a public park and museum. And TOD pla za in-between park railway station and the park bus stop.

On-street parking by autos and taxis hinders the free movement of people and vehicles. Irregular intervals of medians are being the reason for illegal U-turns which ceases the movement of public transport.
