My name is Athanasios Desdenakis and i have a bachelor in Interior Architecture, Decoration and Design of Objects. I am a young man, passionate about deisgn, in every aspect of it.

Through the wide range of my studies, i discovered my inclination for the artistic expression. Nevertheless, i possess not only good knowledge of the creative part of design, but also of the tecnhical one.

Apart from design, i am also interested in fine arts. Drawing and painting are my main interests, which i study for 15 years. Other forms of art that fascinate me are, the installation art, 3D making, video art and animation.

I am excited to evolve in design and hopefully it is depicted in my portfolio presented to you...

PRIMARY SCHOOL

A new design was proposed for the outdated school, based on the idea of flow. Through flow and colors, can be expressed words like vigorousness and playfulness, words that also caracterize the children of that age. Furthermore, the concept of flow is used to achive the connection between the interior and the exterior spaces.

STAND CREATION

For the complete promotion of a greek product (greek milk <<olimpos>>) was designed a stand, as well as an informative leaflet about it.

Concept: society miniature, fresh milk --> local product --> way of life

Shapes: Olimpos --> mountain, mountain feet --> stand

Colors: logo --> blue, milk --> white

INTERIOR DESIGN IN TRADISIONAL SHELLS: RESTORATION OF NEOCLASSICAL BUILDING

The main goal of this design project was to restore the building and maintain the neoclassical caracteristics, while preserving the ceiling paintings.

In addition, the building had to be designed in three different residences so as to house a family.

2D DECORATIVE APPLICATIONS: 2D SYNTHETIC PROPOSALS

In an attept to make a visual connection between the metro station of Acropolis and the Acropolis museum, were designed the wall outside the metro stairs and three floor parts leading to the museum entrance.

The design was based on the museums arquitecture and its exhibits.

DIVER(C)ITY: PUBLIC INSTALLATION ART

My degree thesis, titled DIVERSITY - “Visual internention in the neighborhood of Kerameikos“, includes an architectural installation(1), a video installation(2) and a sculptural installation(3). It discusses the concept of diversity in terms of gender, sexuality, skin color, age e.t.c.

Furthermore, it was designed for the neighborhood of Kerameikos in Athens, Greece, since the neighborhood is a multicultural place, connected thus with the concept of diversity.

During my internship i learned how to complete real projects in each fase, from the beginning to the final hand in to the client, in a professional level.

More specifically, the followed process was:
