Project Year:2012 Progress:Construction completed Paterson Collection is a high-end residential project located along the junction of Paterson Road and Lengkok Angsa, Central Region of Singapore. Paterson Collection will comprise of 2 blocks of residential apartments, each at 19 stories high with a total of 85 luxurious units. The unit mix available at Paterson Collection are 2 bedroom units, 3 bedroom units and also penthouses.

Facade Study During the project start, we studied a lot of option of facade study with hand sketch and sketch up a programme to see the proportion matching with the material. The design solution and concept try to makes an iconic statement. Inspired by the pattern of barcode, form texture and palette of the contact Paterson collection evolved from an initial formal massing response to the site parameters to become a sensitive insertion in the existing landscape and fabric of the Paterson Road area.

A luxurious hi rise condominium complex set amidst one of the largest green lungs of Kota Kinabalu. Visitors and residences here experience different vistas and settings due to the varied terrain and landscape of the project site. The development will consist of 4 blocks of 28-storey condominium towers.

Architecture Design Massing and Facade The design initially considers the integration of the mountain and the holiday, so that people can leave the city to come here, you can get a different sense of the mountain forest, and the hustle and bustle disappears and enjoy the natural landscape. The majority of the building will be made up of two-to-three bedroom residences, with the top two floors penthouses with 360-degree views of the hill to see the sunset and mout Kota Kinabalu.

Sketch and Model study Sketching enables me to take inspiration from pre-existing buildings and then manipulate this to suit my own taste. We took the existing site conditions into consideration, the architects chose to avoid disturbing both the stone pathways and root structure of the mature oak trees by using a single footing and tube frame system.

In the principle of following the southward direction of the household, the balance between orientation and landscape is fully considered.

Lusail is a 600,000sqm mixed-used development located at the waterfront of Lusail City, Qatar’s vision for a distinctive iconic city comprises of two mixed-use (residential and retail) land plots namely Plots D.3.MIX (10,660 m2) and D.4.MIX (13,633 m2). Seef Lusail Development is part of the Lusail City Development. It is located at the edge of the waterfront in Lusail and owned by Lusail Real Estate Development Company LREDC. The development is split into two districts, the South district that includes Zone A and B, which is a primarily a mixed-use residential and family entertainment district with a mall as a major component. The North district includes zone C & D which comprises of a commercial hub, resort, hotel facilities, and high end residential district.

Architecture Design Massing and Facade The commercial area is presented in the design of the façade with modern materials and combination techniques, and there is no lack of embodying the “Qatarâ€? mark. Taking the aesthetic needs of modern people to create things with Qatari traditional charm, the space design is injected into a brand-new oriental artistic conception, and the veins of oriental traditional art can be spread. The beauty of the Qatari conception, with its slowflowing cultural temperament, makes the world aesthetic and returns to the Middle East.

Architecture In order to maximize the use of the site, The fusion utilizes most of the available buildable area, which creates a semi curving footprint, in accordance to the site constraints. Due to this condition, The fusion is has a dynamic geometry to start with. The fusion has two main blocks which are juxtaposed together asymmetrically. The main block has 2 void decks which functionally act as a recreational area and creates an interesting composition to the overall development. They are slanted to the opposite direction with the taller main block located on the east side the lower block on the west side. Balconies and horizontal screens are located in a random fashion, which gives texture to the clean cut glass faรงade. The fusion is a glass sculpture in the Dubiotech complex.

In order to maximize the open space, the towers are arranged along the sidelines of the siteThe central courtyard surrounded by buildings is at the heart of this development. The courtyard sinks further to form a “second first-floor space� that creates a stronger visual connection while introducing natural light into the basement. The atrium is designed as a central event plaza with an activity cabin and platform to guide different people into different community public spaces.
Facade design
The building of the proposed office building is to be a distinctive sign recognizable at the urban space. The appearance of the facade has chosen the surroundings of the object. The designed building facade is made of aluminum facade panels in gray. A curtain-wall façade incorporating horizontal fins expresses the simplicity and aesthetic of the development. I have involved in part of facade design proportion cut and fill to shape the elevation perfect.

Project Year:2015 Progress: Construction completed Located in the South-West of the Nanjing Technology Park (West) Master Plan, Fuying Tower was the first activated plot after DP Architects won the master plan design competition in 2012. The complex is composed of two L-shaped 5-stories podiums and attached 17-stories towers that mirror one another around an internal landscaped courtyard. A public landscape connector is positioned in the center of the courtyard to form a rich urban visual corridor that promotes connectivity among users. The development comprises an IT incubator, accelerator office spaces, and various business support facilities.

The contemporary design language continues vertically through the two towers with a curtain-wall faรงade incorporating horizontal fins to express the simplicity and aesthetic of the development. Two prominent floating pavilions, each with their unique character, serve as a meeting place for office users, while unifying the design identity of the complex.

Architecture Design The faรงade design of the tower.The side elevations of the form have been shaped in such away as to allow all space in the building to have uninterpted view over the Arabian Gulf while at the same time allowing the building to address the water on more than the street front facade.In this way not only is this tower a function piece of architecture,but and elegant landmark with regional influences and site specific constrains for the city of Abu Dhabi.The tower is a 65 storey multi purpose building that futures 30 levels of office space and 500 rooms over 30 levels of hotel space that is adorned but a 10 storey atrium space with a sky garden restaurant.

Form and massing The form of tower has been inspired from the Arabian Oryx,where the towers form is referenced from the horn of Oryx.The tower extrudes from the ground plane as two separate elements that shy away from each other at the spire.The form billows out toward the Arabian Gulf as though it has been imposed up on and shaped by a whispering desert breeze.

The main Idea The story of the Emaar-Bawadi development begins at Bawadi Square. Envisioned to be an internationally significant destination like Times Square in New York and the Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo, Bawadi Square spans over 25 Ha across Bawadi Boulevard, and encompasses performance areas, retail promenade, Art gardens, forest groves, media exhibits and a spectacular 4 storey high Media wall that sweeps across its perimeter buildings.Bawadi Square marks the tone and datum uponwhich all other public spaces in the Emaar-Bawadi development will be pitched. A hierarchy of urban connectors, puntuated by activity nodes of widely different characteristics that define each district, create a well defined urban framework to unite the Emaar-Bawadi development. The key activity nodes include: 1) The Entertainment 2) The Arts and Cultural Plaza 3) The Market square in the Urban Village 4) The town centre in the townhouse district These urban connectors give priority to pedestrian activities and pedestrian movers, in order to create a walkable and liveable environment that responds to the human scale. Architecture The task was to re-interpret an existing plan for the new palace grounds for a VVIP official in the State of Qatar. The architecture had been in the works for years, but the gardens and layout of key elements in the master plan were awry. Security, access, and privacy were key design elements considered when setting a new course of action for the overall composition of the plan, as well as the detail within the smaller private spaces.
