Working in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University we have developed a comprehensive range of Higher Education courses in response to local opportunities. Our courses have proved popular with our first intake of students because they offer an accessible and high quality route into Higher Education for many different kinds of people in smaller friendly groups. Our programmes suit students who might need a flexible programme which allows them to study part-time and carry on working. Our Higher National Certificates are also ideal for students who might be seeking an alternative to traditional university entrance. However, I believe that the appeal for many is simply that Higher National Certificates are a highly respected qualification in their own right which open the door to many employment opportunities, and which also offer the option to go on to the second year of a university course. An added attraction is that most of our Higher National Certificate courses feature a visit abroad to give your studies an international perspective.

Why should I study a Higher National Certificate (HNC)? The HNC is a year-long career-relevant qualification recognised by employers, which will develop professional knowledge and skills. The HNC is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate degree, so after completion you can progress to the second year of a degree in a related area of study.
Higher-level professional training If you are an employer with an interest in developing the skills and knowledge of your workforce then contact East Kent College’s Partnerships Division, our workbased learning team. Whether the solution is a nationally accredited qualification, a development programme designed to meet business needs, or consultancy, they can help. Higher Apprenticeship in Business and Administration
Access to Higher Education (HE) Diplomas Access to HE Diploma courses are designed for people who would like to study at university but left school without the usual qualifications, such as A-levels. You will complete units in relevant areas, and learn the skills needed to be a successful student, ensuring you’re thoroughly equipped for university. For each unit completed, you’ll earn credits to build towards the 60 credits required for the Diploma. The College offers a number of one-year Access to HE Diplomas in Creative Arts, Business, Teacher Training and Science. Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS) and Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) Since September 2007, Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) has been required as the first stage of pre-service or in-service training for those entering post compulsory teaching. PTLLS is suitable for individuals with or without experience, who are interested in developing a career in teaching or training adults. Content includes an exploration of the professional role together with practical planning and delivering teaching and learning sessions using a range of methods and resources. An emphasis is placed on supporting inclusive learning in the trainee teacher’s setting. For those seeking a shorter introduction to the teaching role or a train the trainer opportunity, PTLLS is also delivered as a separate part time course over 16 weeks. The Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) builds on the PTLLS and completes requirements for those undertaking a limited teaching role. CTLLS explores practical and theoretical aspects of teaching and learning. Content includes planning assessment for learning, learning theory and communication in teaching and learning.

The Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLLS), previously Certificate in Education, is a part-time course validated by Canterbury Christ Church University. It is designed to meet the training and development needs of teachers in further and/or adult and community education and trainers in the public and private sector, as well as those working with 14-19 year olds in vocational settings. On successful completion, students will be able to practice in the lifelong learning sector in a full teaching role provided they are qualified/experienced in the subject that they intend to teach. The course aims to foster a critical awareness of the roles and responsibilities of the professional, providing participants with a broad understanding of teaching and learning with a strong emphasis on professional reflection for individual development. Year one of the Diploma includes the achievement of credits equivalent to the PTLLS and CTLLS award. The part-time, 16 week PTLLS course is available to applicants who are not currently working in a teaching role. Applicants for DTLLS will require evidence of study and achievement at Level 3 plus access to 40 hours of teaching (voluntary or employed) in a post compulsory setting for year one and 60 hours in year two. Qualified Teacher Status Learning and Skills (QTLS) The PTLLS, CTLLS and DTLLS qualifications do not automatically confer qualified teacher status. From September 2007 new and unqualified teachers, trainers and tutors within the sector are required to achieve Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) status within five years of joining the profession. Existing teachers will have the opportunity to gain QTLS status through professional recognition of their qualifications and experience. Under the new reforms all new teachers will be required to register with the Institute for Learning (the professional body for teachers and trainers in the learning and skills sector) and achieve a recognised Level 5 teaching qualification within five years. The Institute for Learning have developed pathways to QTLS status for existing teachers, trainers and tutors based on qualifications and experience. Those awarded QTLS status will continue to demonstrate their good standing through a career-long commitment to professional development via their membership of the Institute for Learning (IfL). Broadstairs is a charming and vibrant seaside town on the ‘Isle of Thanet’ at the eastern tip of Kent. Close by, Margate and Ramsgate offer two very different styles of seaside life.
The College is a 5 minute walk away from beautiful Viking Bay Beach and 2 miles from Westwood Cross Shopping Centre where you can find restaurants and a multiplex Cinema. We are just over a mile from Canterbury Christ Church University’s Broadstairs Campus.
Close to the College the beautiful countryside of East Kent can be found, with its network of country lanes, bridleways, footpaths and villages, offering walkers and cyclists the opportunity to explore the landscape and remarkable history of the area.
The College is also situated within a 5 mile radius of the Turner Contemporary Gallery at Margate, the Royal Harbour Marina at Ramsgate and Manston Airport, where a new service to Amsterdam means you are connected to anywhere in the world. Nearby shopping and leisure centres, multiscreen cinema, and close proximity to beautiful beaches, country walks and cycle paths mean that you’ll enjoy a wide variety of activities.
Being essentially a coastal location, Thanet provides a host of seaside activities, from the Marina at Ramsgate to the beaches, entertainments and cultural quarter of Margate with the Margate Theatre Royal and the recently opened Turner Contemporary art gallery. In addition, every summer Broadstairs hosts an internationally acclaimed Folk Week, Food Fayre and a Water Gala.
The towns and villages of Thanet are host to artistic communities, a lively music scene and nationally praised restaurants. The area is one of great diversity, ranging from unspoilt countryside and coastline, to towns with both modern and historic features and a variety of social and entertainment facilities.
In March 2013, Broadstairs was named as one of the top places to live by the sea by national newspaper The Times, and Margate was voted as one of the top 10 places to visit in the World by the Rough Guide in 2012.
The transport infrastructure in the Thanet area has had major investment in recent years, with new fast links to the national motorway network, the Channel Tunnel and ferry terminals at Dover and Ramsgate. The rail and coach services to London’s mainline stations and destinations in Kent are also easily accessible. With fast links to London and the rest of Europe, Broadstairs and the other Thanet towns are highly accessible places in which to live and study.

About the University and the Broadstairs Campus Canterbury Christ Church is the largest centre of Higher Education in Kent for the public services – notably teacher training, nursing, policing, health and social care – and a significant provider of programmes in a wide range of academic and professional areas. In total the University offers over a thousand academic and professional study programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The University’s Broadstairs Campus is a modern, purpose-built facility offering an excellent environment to study a range of subjects including Business, Media, Music and Policing. About the College There are currently over 5,000 full and part-time students studying at the main campus at Broadstairs, as well as satellite centres in Ramsgate and Margate. The College also recently opened a new centre at the Manston Business Park, close to Kent International Airport, to provide a base for the professional training it provides for industry. The College was established in 1948 and has developed an international reputation in Hospitality and Catering, with past students including the Michelin starred, celebrity chef and restaurateur Gary Rhodes and with visiting experts such as the co-presenter of BBC’s MasterChef, Gregg Wallace. In addition, the College has particular expertise in Business and Finance as well as the Creative Arts and the Service Industries, with recent major investment into new commercial Hair and Beauty salons.
Given the close proximity of East Kent College to the world’s largest offshore wind farm, it is appropriately leading on developments in environmental technology encompassing engineering and construction, particularly with its brand-new £6.5m Centre for Environmental Technologies, due to open in 2013. The first of its kind in Kent, the Centre will deliver leading-edge education and training in environmental technologies.

East Kent College has extensive experience of providing education for international students, having worked collaboratively with institutions around the world including the Russian State University of Trade, and Aichi Shukutoku University in Japan, with students from many countries and regions, including China, South America, South Korea and Saudi Arabia, currently studying at the College.
Highly trusted status East Kent College has ‘Highly Trusted Sponsor Status’ under Tier 4 of the UK Border Agency’s points-based system. The College’s Sponsor Licence number is 15J3HVQC9. The College does its very best to ensure that international students have the extra help they may need in making their application, preparing to arrive and when settling in. You will be assigned an International Student Advisor to help you with the process of application and orientation on your arrival, and the College will help you find suitable accommodation in close proximity to the College and the University. Both local private accommodation and ‘homestay’ accommodation (with a family) is available and the College will be active in assisting to ensure all necessary arrangements are in place to support your studies. English language requirements All students must be competent in English Language to be successful in their studies. You will need to show evidence of proficiency by an International English Language Testing System (IELTS), Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) test result or equivalent. It may be that your school leaving certificate grades in English are sufficient and if you have any queries – including the acceptability of alternative English language qualifications – please contact the College’s International Student Advisor international@eastkent.ac.uk. International Foundation Year
If you would like to study for a Higher National Certificate (HNC) at East Kent College but need to work on your English language first then the International Foundation Year provides the necessary preparation for your Higher Education. East Kent College provides the International Foundation Year in partnership with Churchill House School of English Language. This course is taught, assessed and comprehensively quality assured by East Kent College. The Foundation Year is a one year, fulltime course, starting in September, which features English language (to the level required by the HNC) and subject study, in subject areas such as Business, Applied Biology, Computing, Engineering, Hair and Beauty, Hospitality and Catering, Media or Music. Successful completion of the Foundation Year will guarantee you a place on the East Kent College Higher National Certificate (HNC) course in the subject you have chosen to study during your Foundation Year. The HNC is the first level of UK Higher Education. After successfully completing your HNC you will have the opportunity to progress onto the second year of an undergraduate degree at Canterbury Christ Church University or another UK university. The English language entry requirement for the International Foundation Year at East Kent College is an IELTS score of 5.0 overall with 5.0 in writing or a TOEFL internet-based test score of 65 overall with 18 in writing. For advice on

The skills you will develop will focus on specific exam skills for IELTS including reading, listening, speaking and writing. You will also develop your understanding of English grammar. Your teaching schedule will consist of taught English language sessions three hours per day, five days per week. Plus six hours of sessions per week in the afternoons in your chosen subject, and you will enjoy a full social programme of trips and visits to London and places of interest in the UK.

Student Life
Students’ Unions are active at both the College and the University with annually elected committees working in both institutions. The Student Union is an independent organisation run for students, by students, and always with student interests as the central focus. The Union employs a Campus Coordinator to work at the Broadstairs Campus and together with the elected committee they organise the Students’ Union and the activities at the University’s Campus. Your first opportunity to get involved will be during Freshers’ Week, helping you to get into student life! There will be plenty of chances to meet your Union Officers at the College and at the University, to join new societies and groups, and make new friends in a friendly supportive environment. Throughout the year there will be a whole variety of social events and sporting activities with which to be involved in and around the College and the University’s Broadstairs Campus. There are regular music gigs in ‘Horizons’ bar at the University’s Broadstairs Campus and also a range of sport and fitness activities oncampus such as yoga and fencing.

There are also regular football sessions and the rugby squad has a coach for its regular training sessions. Students at the Broadstairs Campus also have the chance to play for the University in inter-university leagues. Higher National Certificate (HNC) students are able to combine learning with earning – being able to work while also studying. A flexible approach has been taken to the organisation of each course in order to accommodate, for example, the needs of students in Technology (Engineering and Construction) for ‘day-release’ study and the needs of Creative Arts (Media and Music) students for independent access to specialist facilities for their project work. All the HNCs are taught over thirty weeks and, as well as the commitment to attend lectures and tutorials, you will also need to allow time for independent study in the College or in the University Campus learning centre. Please look in the ‘fact file’ for each course to see the weekly schedule of teaching.
Each HNC course is taught at the College by the programme team led by the Programme Director. You will be assigned a personal tutor with whom you will have regular, scheduled tutorials to support your academic progress. The courses are assessed exclusively through coursework assignments and, as the course is workfocused, you will be engaged in practical activity supported by theoretical studies in order that you are confident in both theory and practice. On successful completion of your studies there is the opportunity to have your HNC certificate presented to you at a ceremony, usually held at the Canterbury Campus of Canterbury Christ Church University. You will be able to invite your friends and family and they can join with you to celebrate together your success in Higher Education.

A Higher National Certificate (HNC) is a recognised Higher Education level qualification that develops your workrelevant knowledge and skills within the structured and managed environment of your chosen professional area. The qualification has intrinsic value to employers and is also an ideal springboard onto further study. It will enable you to demonstrate the confidence and capacity for employment in senior positions which require you to exercise some personal responsibility. Your HNC will usually be recognised as equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree, thus allowing you to fast-track onto the second year of the degree. What will I study?
This course will focus on how to create and release a music product, with a strong emphasis on composition and production.
The course will give you the foundation in music composition and production to take you forward into this industry.
You will be part of a production team that has the opportunity to create and release music through the in-house label, producing material by artists from the College’s level 3 Performers’ course and writing music for films produced by the College’s Media department.

Renewable Energy is regarded as the power supply of the future, with Kent at the forefront of wind power through offshore wind farms installed along the coast.
You will gain an insight into the experience and knowledge required to progress in the ďŹ eld whilst retaining a focus on how basic engineering techniques underpin industry. Using analysis and model engineering situations, you will problem solve using higher mathematics skills, plus explore behavioural characteristics to evaluate and present project outcomes. This rapidly growing industry will create jobs in many disciplines. What will I study?
Renewable Energy has been heralded by the government as the power supply of the future and Kent is at the forefront of wind power provision through the offshore developments planned and currently being installed along the Kent coast. This rapidly growing industry will create many job opportunities in a number of engineering disciplines.
Modules are subject to validation, but will be comprised of eight from the following based upon staffing and appropriateness for local provision.
The South East region has a shortage of well qualified electrical, electronic and mechanical engineers and the engagement of local and national energy companies will provide a partnership that should produce quality engineers and provide employment opportunities.

He turned to teaching 12 years ago and keeps up to date and in touch with the industry, having recently completing a professional updating course in Industrial Control.

What can I do next?
This course is designed for students who aim to work within the beauty therapy industry. It provides a solid foundation in the skills needed to move forward into employment or further study.
Students will be able to progress to the second year of an undergraduate degree or onto a Higher National Diploma (HND) in a related field.
This is a specialist work-related course covering the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills for the industry with a strong sector-related emphasis on practical skills development.

What will I study?
This course focuses on advanced electrical epilation techniques to treat skin tags, spider naevi, blood spots, and others.
The course includes a strong foundation of study in beauty therapy, including studies in Aromatherapy and Reflexology, amongst others. You will develop work-based experience, as placements can be carried out in the College’s brand-new state of the art Salon Academy and students will have the opportunity to receive product training and take part in student enrichment workshops.
Develop the skills needed to carry out a thorough consultation, formulate a treatment plan and provide aftercare advice. Health, safety and hygiene are also key elements to this programme. This full BA course has been designed for professionals working in the Lifelong Learning sector who want to explore and understand the history, the present and the possible futures of Lifelong Learning at degree level. This is a comprehensive train-the-trainer course suitable for corporate trainers or for post-compulsory teachers. This East Kent College course qualification is required by many organisations as an industry minimum for trainers.

Many mature students already meet entry requirements before they apply for their course because of previous study, work or life experience. However, if you are a mature student without formal qualifications you can still apply. We look at each application on an individual basis.
80-120 UCAS Points Generally a place on a Higher Education course is offered on the basis of grades up to a certain number of UCAS tariff points. A typical offer for entry to an HNC is between 80-120 UCAS tariff points. In order to meet an entry requirement of, for example, 80 UCAS tariff points, an applicant would need to gain two A-levels at Grade E OR achieved PP for a BTEC Level 3 Diploma. The College and University will not normally make an offer for a place on a Higher National Certificate (HNC) based on AS qualifications alone. Applicants studying on an Access to Higher Education course will need to achieve a Pass in their qualification in order to progress to a HNC.
Advice for International Students East Kent College and Canterbury Christ Church University recognise a wide variety of non-UK qualifications which are accepted for entry to academic courses. If your academic qualification(s) or English language skills are not at the required entry level for undergraduate study on a HNC, we recommend completing the International Foundation Year which then progresses directly to a HNC. Your suitability for direct entry to the HNC course will be dependent on your previous qualification(s) and your current level of English. International students need to have, or expect to have, equivalent qualification(s) to those required for a typical offer to an HNC: the equivalent of between 80-120 UCAS tariff points which,
for 80 credits, equates to two A-Levels at Grade E. The three possible routes for entry to a HNC for an international student are as follows: 1. Applying via UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service) For all courses in the prospectus which state that application is made through UCAS, you must apply online at www.ucas.com There are three types of applicant: 1. Students at a school or college registered with UCAS All UK schools and colleges (and a small number of establishments overseas) are registered with UCAS to manage their students’ applications. Advice is available from your teacher or a careers adviser at your school or college. You fill in an online application and submit it to a member of staff. After checking your details, and having added your academic reference, your school or college submits the completed application online to UCAS. You pay online using a credit card or debit card. You may also be able to pay through your school or college. 2. Independent applicants in the UK Other UK applicants, who are not at school or college, apply online independently. The Personal Statement This is the most important section of your application. Try to include a wide ranging description of yourself that might include your study interests – what you enjoy about your current course(s). It is also vital that you say why you have chosen the subject you are applying for. Include any work or other relevant experience you have done and the benefits it gave you. With teaching or health-related subjects, if there is no evidence in your application that you have some relevant experience then you are likely to be rejected without an interview. You can also tell us about any career ideas you have for the future, and how your chosen course will fit into this. Before the Interview You should read a copy of your application and read the prospectus and think about the questions that you might be asked. Select appropriate clothes for the interview that allow you to be comfortable but give a good impression. Check the time that you are meant to arrive and think about the travel implications, especially how long it will take you to get to the location of the interview, where you will park if you come by car, whether you are going to bring a friend or member of the family with you.

East Kent College Terms and Conditions 1. Application 1.1 These Terms and Conditions shall apply to the provision of the services (‘Services’) by East Kent College of Ramsgate Road Broadstairs Kent CT10 1PN (“College”) to you (“Student”). No other terms and conditions shall apply to the provision of services unless agreed upon in writing between the College and the Student. 1.2 To avoid doubt, the Terms and Conditions of Study (including all current published College Policies, Codes and Regulations) apply to all students, including those on placements and/or studying at off–campus locations. 1.3 Students should satisfy themselves from reading the available information that the particular course they have chosen meets their requirements before commencing the course. 2. Interpretation 2.1 A “business day” means any day other than a Saturday, Sunday or bank holiday. 2.2 The headings in these Terms and Conditions are for convenience only and shall not affect their interpretation.
4.6 The Student remains liable for any fees not paid by a Sponsor (see clause 3 above for definition of Sponsor) 4.7 If the Student fails to make payment within the period stated in clause 4.4 the College reserves the right to charge the Student interest at the rate of 8% per annum on the amount outstanding until payment is made in full. 4.8 Time for payment is of the essence of the contract between the College and the Student. 4.9 Receipts for payment will be issued by the College only at the Student’s request. 4.10 All payments must be made in pounds sterling (£) unless otherwise agreed in writing between the College and the Student. 4.11 The College has a Fees Policy which can be found on the College’s website (www.eastkent. ac.uk) which also includes the College’s policy on refunds. A copy of the Fees Policy can be requested from the Finance Office East Kent College Ramsgate Road Broadstairs Kent CT10 1PN. 5. Cancelling or Changing Contents of Courses
3. Definitions
5.1 The College reserves the right not to run courses where the number of Students is considered insufficient or where resources are unavailable or to change the contents of a course where it is considered appropriate by the College to do so.
3.1 Every Student of the College, whether full–time or not, must enrol for each programme and pay the fees appropriate to their course of study at the College.
5.2 Where numbers of Students dictate, courses may be amalgamated so that they may comprise a number of subjects, including parts of the Student’s chosen subjects and parts of other related subjects.
3.2 In all College documentation “Sponsor” is deemed to include Skills Funding Agency; Education Funding Agency; local authority/central government schemes; local enterprise companies; employers and training boards or agencies.
5.3 All admission to courses is at the final discretion of the Principal.
2.3 Words imparting the singular number shall include the plural and vice-versa.
3.3 No person shall be deemed to be an enrolled Student unless they have completed and signed a College learning agreement and agreed to meet the liability for the relevant fees, where a Sponsor does not meet the liability on their behalf. 3.4 In signing the learning agreement the Student undertakes to observe these Terms and Conditions (including all current published College Policies, Codes and Regulations) and consents to the College obtaining, recording, holding, processing personal data including data of a sensitive nature. Students are responsible for informing the College of any changes to the information provided on enrolment. 4. Fees and Payment 4.1 The course fees (“Fees”) for the Services are set out in the prospectus. 4.2 In addition to the Fees, the College is entitled to recover from the Student reasonable incidental expenses for materials used and for third party goods and/ or services supplied in connection with the Services. 4.3 Liability for fees is incurred at enrolment and the College reserves the right to withdraw any offer for a Student who has not paid or arranged, to the satisfaction of the College, payment of fees within a reasonable time. 4.4 The Student shall pay the Fees due for the Services at or prior to enrolment or otherwise in accordance with any credit terms agreed between the College or their credit agency and the Student via an instalment plan. 4.5 If the Student fails to make payment within the period in clause 4.4, the College shall have the right to suspend the provision of the Services (where the provision of the Services is on-going) until payment is made to the satisfaction of the College.

5.4 The College reserves the right to refuse admission to any course because of restricted availability of facilities due to accommodation or teaching requirements or for any other reason which the College deems it necessary to do so. 5.5 On College programmes of more than one year duration, progression to Year 2 (and subsequent years) is dependent on satisfactory performance in the previous year. 6. Liability and Indemnity 6.1 If the College fails (or has failed) to perform the Services with reasonable care and skill it shall carry out all required remedial action at no additional cost to the Student. 6.2 The College shall not be liable to the Student or be deemed to be in breach of these Terms and Conditions by reason of any delay in performing, or any failure to perform, any of the College’s obligations if such delay or failure is due to any cause beyond the College’s reasonable control. 6.3 The Student shall indemnify the College against all damages, costs, claims and expenses suffered by the College arising from any loss or damage to any equipment (including that belonging to third parties) caused by the Student. 6.4 The College does hold third party liability insurance which indemnifies the College with respect to claims from third parties, including Students, who have suffered injury, illness, loss or damage arising from the negligence of the College or its employees. However, if there is no negligence, no claim would be accepted by the College or its insurers. A copy of the College Public Liability insurance is displayed in the reception area of the College campus.
7. Force Majeure Neither party shall be liable for any failure or delay in performing their obligations where such failure or delay results from any cause that is beyond the reasonable control of that party. Such causes include, but are not limited to: power failure, internet service provider failure, industrial action, civil unrest, fire, flood, storms, earthquakes, acts of terrorism, acts of war, governmental action or any other event that is beyond the control of the party in question. 8. Communications 8.1 All notices under these Terms and Conditions shall be in writing and signed by, or on behalf of, the party giving notice (or a duly authorised officer of that party). 8.2 Notices shall be deemed to have been duly given: (a) when delivered, if delivered by courier or other messenger (including registered mail) during the normal business hours of the recipient; (b) when sent, if transmitted by fax or email and a successful transmission report or return receipt is generated; (c) on the fifth business day following mailing, if mailed by national ordinary mail; or on the tenth business day following mailing, if mailed by airmail. 8.3 All notices under these Terms and Conditions shall be addressed to the Corporate Services Office at East Kent College Ramsgate Road Broadstairs Kent CT10 1PN. 9. No Waiver 9.1 No waiver by the College of any breach of these Terms and Conditions by the Student shall be considered as a waiver of any subsequent breach of the same or any other provision. 9.2 No failure or delay on the part of either the College or the Student to exercise any right, power or privilege under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of, nor shall any single or partial exercise of any such right, power or privilege preclude, any other or further exercise of any other right, power or privilege. 10. Severance In the event that one or more of these Terms and Conditions is found to be unlawful, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, that/those provisions shall be deemed severed from the remainder of these Terms and Conditions (which shall remain valid and enforceable). 11. Consumer Rights and Complaints Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall affect the Student’s statutory rights as a consumer. In the event the Student has a concern, the College Complaints Procedure is available on the College website (www.eastkent.ac.uk) or from the Corporate Services Office at East Kent College Ramsgate Road Broadstairs Kent CT10 1PN. 12. Law and Jurisdiction 12.1 These Terms and Conditions (including any non-contractual matters and obligations arising there from or associated therewith) shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales. 12.2 Any dispute, controversy, proceedings or claim between the Student and the College relating to these Terms and Conditions (including any noncontractual matters and obligations arising there from or associated therewith) shall fall within the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
