Pay attention to understanding
A trainer must make sure that questions are asked and that students should ask concerns. It should be verified that your learners understand the training session on a regular basis. Summarize, revise and get suggestions whenever possible - this is the single most serious things that will be shown to Cert IV in Training and Assessment participants. http://www.livtraining.edu.au/cert-and-assessment/ Open ended questions should be expected as often as possible to ensure: •
That the students are thinking
•
That the pupils fully understand
•
A “learning” environment is created instead of a "teaching" environment
•
Group discussion is made
•
Two way communication is going on
It is also a sensible practice for the trainer to stop asking questions that are long and complicated or are extremely vague and non specific. A few important questions for instructors which you’ll learn from your Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment competent teacher include: •
That’s a great question! Can any of you here tell me about [subject]?
•
Could you please provide an example?
•
Please expand on that?
