Whenever possible, involve employees / faculty members in decisions about how you can most effectively achieve the goals of the organization / institution


Show genuine interest in employees / faculty members and their welfare and have a good understanding of each person’s long-term goals.


Be open-minded toward faculty members’ ideas.


Solicit new ideas from employees / faculty members regularly

Listen to new employees / faculty members feelings about the job, provide a safe atmosphere in which they can question, and introduce them to each staff members
