About Myanmar: Myanmar is the kind of country that no one can properly describe in words for two reasons: very few llaces in this world are in the same development stage as Myanmar so it is best experienced first-hand; and, it changes so suddenly that any description will not be able to keep up with reality. Its policies shift almost as quickly as the weather. It is this potential for development that draws investors in. And it is this kind uncertainty and unpredictability that draws tourists in. What makes them stay are probably the people's simplicity and hospitality. Yangon City, like any new place, will seem huge and different, but give yourself a few days, put on a friendly face, and soon it will feel like home and everyone becomes family.

About AIESEC Myanmar: With only a year of history to boast of, AIESEC in Myanmar is developing as quickly as the country. In term 13-14, the entity had witnessed great potential in iGIP, as an emerging business hub, and iGCDP, as a country in deep need of better education. It capitalized on both, and this year, we are prepared to go outward as we initiate OGX and allow Myanmar youth to see the world so that they may understand their own country and their own potential better. This year, the network can count on AIESEC Myanmar to have commitment, solidarity, and clarity. We will be bold and steadfast in our aim to prepare the youth for the new Myanmar to come. It is through deliberate leadership development and carefully selected exchange experiences that our vision can come to life. Our young age and small size as an entity allows us to innovate quicker and have direct involvement in customer relations and on-the-ground initiatives, ensuring a worthwhile experience for our EPs and partners.

4.1 By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys complete free, equitable and quality primary and secondary education leading to relevant and effective learning outcomes 4.6 By 2030, ensure that all youth and a substantial proportion of adults, both men and women, achieve literacy and numeracy

AIESEC in Myanmar to Achieve UN Global Goals A common explanation for this phenomenon is that Myanmar had one of the best education systems in Asia until the 1950s, and the attitudes and habits around learning stem from those days. But, many fear this story will change as decades of underinvestment and deteriorating standards take their toll. Schools are currently poorly equipped, and educational materials and methods are often of low quality and outdated. Although primary school enrollment is compulsory, enrollment drops to 52 percent for girls and 49 percent for boys by the time they reach secondary school, according to UNICEF. Build Your Dream aims to empower and develop children and youth through teaching foreign languages like English, Computer literacy and aesthetic subject like music to those children and young people in orphanages, blind schools and monasteries. There are many children and youths across the country who don’t get the chance go to schools. This programme has been running for last 2 years and considered as an important educational supplement to prepare Myanmar youths for the future. For three six-week cycles, Interns from around the world move into the monasteries and orphanages to organize lessons to teach English, basic computer skills and Music while sharing their culture.
