Property management portfolio and responsibilities Chad Kendall is the Head of Property Services at Facey Property, overseeing in excess of 1,300 managements. His role requires him to manage his portfolio managers, check in on the status of all portfolios, liaise with key clients and, during the award period, lead high level negotiations and rent relief.

Significant achievements Upon noticing that the company’s property management software was not evolving with our clients’ needs, Chad actively sought to find a new property management software to keep Facey at the forefront of technology and customer service. A project that was taken on whilst also juggling the rigours of a pandemic landscape.

Risk management and business challenges Chad’s negotiation skills and the mutual respect he has built with his clients resulted in an amicable outcome for the tenant and landlord. Business challenges for Chad were relocating all staff home so they could work professionally and efficiently and on boarding and training new staff remotely. This led to Chad identifying the need for a cloud based platform.

Innovation Chad was one of few leaders in this change and actively sought out ways to introduce new software and consistently improve, not only for himself but his team as well. Chad was able to educate his team, migrate them onto the new platform and source the necessary equipment for them to work as efficiently as possible within two weeks of the first lockdown being announced.

Commitment to quality client service The relationship Chad has cultivated with landlords and tenants alike is crucial to our business’ previous, current, and future success. While negotiations can be gruelling and unpleasant, the stress inducing factors are lessened because our clients know they can trust Chad to lead them to a decision that best serves them. Chad operates with kindness and puts himself within our clients’ shoes to better understand and help them when they require it.

As one of the early adopters of all remote working software and practices, he contributed to the wider business, sought improvement, and established a new way of working and staying connected to his team while working remotely.
