Why Rappers Give Back to the Kids

charitable deeds. And, they put it out for tha whole world to see. easons of rap careers have come and

gone. The revolution of social media and instant direct connection with fans has subsequently unmasked a new era of creative marketing strategies. When it comes to "putting on a show", are high profile musical acts any different from big -screen actors and actresses in film? While we can't bypass tha integrity of fine arts, we can still determine for ourselves if a performer is...sincere or authentic. I see thru actor's performances all tha time, but please spare me on tha mentions. I don't want to get too far off track here. Over tha past, let's say, 10 years or so, we've seen artists do all kinds of

In this particular article, I want to talk about why rappers give back to tha kids. Like, tha real reason, ya feel me? Recently, while browsing Instagram, I've been exposed to accounts that claim they are busy giving back to tha kids, helping them do this, helping them do that. When I hear artists and musicians say things like this, they're usually speaking on tha contrary to some form of opposition. And giving back to tha kids becomes somewhat of a defense mechanism they use to leverage their own character a bit. And so, tha impression that I'm left with is that they're simply just...putting on a show. After all, is that not tha name of tha game?

How A Tulsa, Oklahoman Impacted A Nation Thru Music I was 15 years old. Getting dressed for school. BET Start and 106 & Park aired "Signs" by Snoop Dogg featuring Charlie Wilson and Justin Timberlake. Me being so young at tha time , it wasn't my favorite song by Snoop. Furthermore, I'm afraid to say, I didn't even know who Charlie Wilson was. Justin Timberlake sure, but Wilson, he was someone that, as far as I could see, appeared to have been an experienced musician. Also being a fan of Snoop Dogg, I knew there had to be something special about who Charlie Wilson was if Snoop not only had him on a song but a single with a music video as well. Even still, it wasn't brought to my attention that Charlie Wilson was a member of tha Gap Band. I went years not knowing that even after hearing his feature on Snoop Dogg's album "Rhythm & Gangsta: The Masterpiece" back in 2004. But, eventually, I found out. And believe me, it wasn't tha first and won't be tha last time I discover a talent I should have already known about. I was born in 1990, cut me some slack, aight. Charlie Wilson, born in The Sooner

State, is much more than just a musical genius. Boasting a successful career both as a solo artist and in a band, Charlie Wilson's impact stretches far beyond the Arkansas River. I checked out his biography and felt it would be worth mentioning how his stature as a musician has led him to affect culture in cities throughout the United States of America. ThaWilsonBlock is a platform committed to local arts so I thought this would be a good example of how musicians can use their ambition to accomplish more than they ever imagined. In this article, I'm going to take tha liberty of mentioning a few achievements I think are kind of cool so that it may show tha results of a musician's prowess.

Why Police Think They Are More Important Than Citizens

Mistah Wilson reveals tha short answer as to why police believe they are more important than tha citizens they serve.

Historic Architecture Abounds Amid Nationwide Homelessness Homelessness throughout LA County has been severe since tha day I started actually paying attention. You'll hear a lot of preservation advocates insist on an open discussion now that our ancestors who've already done tha damage are gone. But, tha issue has a little more depth than that. See, homelessness is clearly a systemic problem. It was caused by inhumane business practices from Wall Street, insurance companies, realty firms, politicians, and so on. I mean, let's be real for a minute here. In a capitalist society, those who are without have no seat at tha table. Because of that, people throughout all generations alive today are left in a disposition. In my opinion, it starts at tha Federal level. But, without going too far back and into this thing, let's discuss on a local level.

Over tha decades, industry and

building has been an ever -growing activity. Firms are granted contracts and those contracts come with stipulations that must satisfy Federal administrative appetites. Now, you have big development companies wanting to buy and rebuild plots of land while a plethora of commercial real estate and residential apartments lay vacant. Yea, that big high-rise they're building around tha corner that has all tha construction delaying your travel every day. Your local politicians approved it while renters have little to no protection. It begs tha question to council men and women: how do you manage to close new development deals that impede on tha quality of life in tha city while, at tha same time, allowing tha displacement of your own citizens? Who's really benefitting here? Because it doesn't appear to be tha people being gentrified out. READ FULL ARTICLE
