If anyone out there is paying attention, you'd know that Bing Bing, or Mistah Wilson (if you will), has fulfilled his one million foot commitment for causes & charity late last year (2015). Well, the kid just doesn't know when to stop. He has taken to ThaWilsonBlock Magazine to sponsor a 23mile walk effort from San Pedro to LA City Hall in an effort to use his influence in a positive way on Wednesday July 20th, 2016. You've seen him walk to help end gang violence, walk for empowerment, and even had it in him to successfully run the LA Marathon for foster kids like him. But, this time, he's walking to help spread courage to his peers and followers. READ FULL STORY

“I have always been very disciplined in everything I did. But I can say I learn a lot of it from being around my mother and the mentors I had in my life growing up.

# L et Av e r a g e G o Mistah Wilson: Greetings , Author Joseph Washington! We are ver y honored to have you here with us for this exclusive inter view with ThaWilsonBlock Magazine! How have you been? Joseph Washington: Greetings to you, Sir. I am doing great. Just taking some time to relax before I get back out there on my grind to make it do what it do...Lol ) Mistah Wilson: For those who you are yet to reach, would you mind giving us a quick, informative background on yourself? Joseph Washington: I grew up with having to overcome a severe speech impediment from the time I could talk up until about the age of about 14 years old. I would outgrow it with the help of my amazing mother who worked with me day in and day out. I would go on to build a successful personal development company and travel the world encouraging people to Let Average Go) Mistah Wilson: You are a personal development coach with real -world experience . What led you to public speaking and how did you make the transformation? Joseph Washington: As I mention I had to overcome a personal speech impediment growing up. I worked in corporate America for about 20 years of which most of that was in training and sales . When my company downsized I was without a job so I decided to do something I loved and that was speaking.

Mistah Wilson: You know, I just have to let you know that your campaign has been such an inspiring force . For the record, we just want to thank you for being a positive light in the world. How did you learn self -discipline as a young man? Joseph Washington: You know that funny because I have always been ver y discipline in ever ything I did. But I can say I learn a lot of it from being around my mother and the mentors I had in my life growing up.)

Joseph Washington is Author of ‘Let Average Go’ book

# J o s e p h Wa s h i n gton Mistah Wilson: You've been proactive in your effor ts to make a difference . If you ask us , it's working. With so much that you've accomplished thus far, what are some current and upcoming projects you have in the works? Joseph Washington: There are three things I’m working on now that I am really passionate about. They are my Let Average Go Fitness movement, LAG100 which is my youth and young adult mentoring program and Man Code Unlocked that I have created to help me unlock the code to there personal success ) Mistah Wilson: You wrote the book “Let Average Go” and have traveled long distances to spread your message . Please tell us ever ything you can about the book and how it's making a positive impact with people… Joseph Washington: The book is ver y simple in that I took the word average and created the 7 keys to turn your Average into Awesome from each letter of the word Average . The impact has been nothing shor t of amazing. I get emails and Facebook messages all the time telling me how the book has helped them go from Average to Awesome ) A= Adopt A Positive Attitude . V= Value Your Time . E= Enlist the Help of a Mentor. R= Read Daily. A= Anticipate Opposition. G= Guard Your Goals . E= Empower Your Belief System. Mistah Wilson: What are some key values and principles that are key for success? Joseph Washington: The key to success is the following, integrity, Faithfulness , Ser vice to others and a love for God) Mistah Wilson: Who are/were some of your primar y influences growing up? Joseph Washington: The people who shaped me the most growing up were my Mother and My 3rd grade teacher and my two best friends Charles and Kenneth of which we are all still best friends which has now almost 40 years) Where do you draw inspiration from when pursuing your passion? Answer....(My inspiration comes from wanting to build a family legacy for son’s and daughter and my grandchildren )

Mistah Wilson: For our audience reading this , can you tell me 3 ways to develop self -motivation? (We should be paying you for this but uhhh… lol) Joseph Washington: I think you star t to develop self motivation by asking yourself the following questions ....1. What would you do for free . 2. Read about the achievements of others . 3. What is your WHY ).

Mistah Wilson: How impor tant is health and what does it mean to you? Joseph Washington: My health is the most impor tant thing to me because without it I can do the things I’m doing. My health is my wealth period ). Mistah Wilson: How was it conquering Stone Mountain? Joseph Washington: It was awesome . It took me a few tries to finally make it to the top of the mountain but I did it). Mistah Wilson: The famous Prince once said “Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today, to get through this thing called life .” What challenges have you encountered on your journey so far? Joseph Washington: I have had many challenges in my 53 years of life , but the biggest came August 12th, 2011 when I received the news that my beloved mother passed away in a fatal car accident. My mother was my true love and best friend and my movie buddy. I have many 3 M Days which are Missing My Mother days .

Mistah Wilson: What are some more of the rewarding things you've experienced? Joseph Washington: I think for me number one is my children because I really believe I was born to be a dad. I think also being able to travel around the world doing what I love and that’s speaking and then of course being able to on the grounds of the white house as the graduating speaker for a local school in the Washington DC area. Mistah Wilson: Do you believe we are our brother's keeper? In your own words , what are some benefits of being a mentor? Joseph Washington: The benefit for me being able to mentor so many youth and adults is to see the results of my teaching with them down the road. To see there lives change for the better because I was able to impar t some of my wisdom into them). Mistah Wilson: I always tell my peers , “Don't Break the Rules , Make the Rules through ownership and entrepreneurial endeavors . How do you think we can help at -risk youth make better, healthier decisions for themselves? Joseph Washington: I think we show them and not just tell them. Young people need us to guide them along the way and to also be consistent in doing what we say we are going to do. We need to stop telling them to pull of their paints and tell them how they can pull up their dreams).

Mistah Wilson: How impor tant is giving back to the community for you and what are some causes/charities you suppor t outside of your Authoritarian message? Joseph Washington: It’s ver y impor tant to give back as I mention ser vice to others to me is the greatest gift you can give someone . I suppor t my local schools in mentoring young people and also giving back with my time and talents to my HBCU. I am ver y passionate about seeing our youth of today become successful).

Mistah Wilson: What positive , empowering words do you have for aspiring writers and achiever believers? Joseph Washington: I say to my future authors just write with is true to you and not something you took from somebody else . Be true to yourself and live in your passion and I promise you will never go wrong. Believe that all things are possible if you are willing to Par ticipate in your own Rescue) Mistah Wilson: Where can people keep up with you online? Joseph Washington: FB , Twitter, Instagram, youtube and at LetAverageGo.com)

Mistah Wilson: Yo, Joseph Washington! It's truly been a pleasure of ours to have you here for this exclusive inter view with ThaWilsonBlock Magazine . If you have any shout outs , let's hear em'... Joseph Washington: I want to thank you guys for this oppor tunity for allowing me to grace the cover of your magazine .
