Music Producer/Writer A-Clasik talks Beats, Upcoming Projects, and Advice for the Aspiring Musician‌
Mistah Wilson: Yo, A-Clasik, what's good, fam!? It's an honor to have you here with us for this exclusive interview with ThaWilsonBlock Magazine! What's tha latest & greatest? A-Clasik: Nothing much man, Just out here trying to turn "NADA" into "PRADA".
Mistah Wilson: Can tha people get a quick background on yourself ? A-Clasik: I'm from Carson Ca, but pretty much lived everywhere in the South Bay from L.A to the I.E. I been doing music for about 12 years now, I started off as a producer, then I built a love for writing and been working on my craft as an artist ever since.
Mistah Wilson: We've actually been connected on tha book for awhile now. You've been persistent in your artistic endeavors. How has tha journey been thus far? A-Clasik: It's been a learning experience, man. I'm a loyal student of the game. Everyday I'm trying to find ways to better myself as a producer and emcee.
Mistah Wilson: What led you to pursuing a career as an artist/musician? A-Clasik: When I made my first beat on Fruity Loops I was hooked. I never knew you could make music just from the click of a mouse on your computer. I grew up in a family full of musicians. My Auntie and Uncles used to take me to their gigs and rehearsals all the time where they played live instruments when I was a kid. I was never into playing any instrument in particular but I loved the music that each instrument made together. So when I got older one day I pulled up to one of my bro's cribs and he introduced me to Fruity Loops and I been hooked ever since. I now have progressed to Pro Tools 12 and Native Instruments.
Mistah Wilson: What current and upcoming projects of yours should people know about or be on tha lookout for? A-Clasik: My next project is "PWGTTF "Parachuting While Gliding Thru The Fog". This album covers everything from Success, Love, Hate, Lust, My Worries and much more. You definitely do not want to miss out on this one. You can listen to my previous albums here at WWW.ACLASIK.COM’’
“Everything comes from my past and present. For me each song is therapeutic to where I can release each experience that is heavy on my mind. A-Clasik
Mistah Wilson: In what ways do you draw creative inspiration when composing new music?
A-Clasik: Everything comes from my past and present. For me each song is therapeutic to where I can release each experience that is heavy on my mind.
Mistah Wilson: Who are some artists that have influenced you to be tha artist you are today?
A-Clasik: To be honest none. I was a huge Tupac and DJ Quik fan growing up but I wouldn't say they have an influence on me as an artist. I start off just listening to each artist beats. I didn't care for lyrics too much until I was in my 20's. Growing up all I ever did was have melodies in my head. So when I start writing finally I came with my own style and my own flow with the help of some of my bro's that I grew up with Lil Tragic, Young World, and Maccnifasent. They are the ones I took advice from and listened to when I was trying to develop as an artist.
Mistah Wilson: What do you plan to accomplish through your music? A-Clasik: I just want to be heard. That is my only goal. I would love to make this a stable career to where I don't have to work a reg 9 to 5. But my love for this music doesn't let me look past just being heard. I'll let the rest take care of itself, hopefully the people will hear my love for music through each song which will then take me places.
Mistah Wilson: What positive, encouraging words do you have for aspiring artists looking to pursue a career in entertainment? A-Clasik: Don't stress about stuff you can't do anything about... Keep your focus on what you love to do and just do it. Stay consistent and do it. Don't let the outside noise slow you down from what your supposed to be doing.. which is making music that is true to "YOU"....
Mistah Wilson: Where can people connect with your music online? A-Clasik: WWW.ACLASIK.COM Mistah Wilson: Yo, A-Clasik thanks for coming thru for this exclusive interview with ThaWilsonBlock Magazine. If you got any shout outs, let's hear em.. A-Clasik: SALUTE to all my MILL LIFE Respresentas
