This may not always be the case but it seems you need certain type of music to make it on the radio, unless you paying. But then again that certain type of music is being paid for to get airplay anyway. I've had similar instances like this happen to me, its quite pathetic.

Meet Graphic Artist "Robert Wilson" from Milwaukee, Wisconsin I find it little difficult to describe my art style. I find it changes with each project or maybe it’s more accurate to say that I alter my style based on what I am working on. If I am working on a concept/character design I will keep everything loose, a comic or cartoon would be tighter, and a portrait would be realistic. I prefer graphite and charcoal as my main medium, though I will add
some color if it helps the piece, I’m also starting to delve more into digital art. For me it is constant evolution in hopes of getting better and better. I love to draw so many different subjects that I don’t think I could commit to one style only the technique needed for the project. As long as my illustration conveys a story or narrative and is true to my original idea, I’m happy.
Joe Lockett Q&A on Fatherhood, Mentoring, and Radio
Mistah Wilson : From your perspective, how impor tant are Fathers in the household and why ? Joe Lockett: Fathers are ver y impor tant in a household. The kids and their mom look to the man for leadership and stability. Without the man in the house women have to tr y to fill a man shoes. Many women do a great job but it tough to raise a young man without a father in the house. Mistah Wilson: What are some of the most controversial issues in Birmingham, AL that concern you today? Joe Lockett: Concerning issues in Bham, Kids killing kids in the inner city. There are many outside things we can point to that is par t of the cause in our community. I feel we should focus more on the parents and the kids. We have teenagers with guns this in a inside of the the community problem, that we need to address and hold each other accountable. Mistah Wilson: Who were some key influences in your life growing up? Joe Lockett: Key influences in my life of course mom an dad, but I think most of all seeing people that look like me succeed in dif ferent positions let me know I could become anything I wanted to Mistah Wilson: What current and upcoming events should we know about? Joe Lockett: Upcoming events are My new Mon- Fri 6-7pm tv show Outspoken with Joe Lockett that just debuted two weeks ago. It’s my largest project to date. It’s a LIVE T V debate show that covers national new, spor ts, and social issues. We accept phone calls. If you live in Alabama, you can watch it on ACN channel 80 or stream live at www.jlenhd.com For people who have cut the cord Outspoken with JL is a show they can watch, call and interact on social media live @ jloutspoken Mistah Wilson: So, tell us about the radio show! When and where can we tune in? Joe Locket: My radio show is the #1 weekend talk show in the south 4-7 pm saturdays. It's the Love Hate Debate Joe Lockett show. We mostly debate politics. Mistah Wilson: Recommended by James Clark, we learned about the JL Mentoring camp. Could you tell us more about it? Joe Lockett: JL Mentoring Camp is camp Lockett iN Media provides for 15 boys and 15 girls ever y year at no cost. To teach them live skills, expose them to CEO, Blue collar workers, and entrepreneurs. We want to give kids a snap shot at what life has to of fer. I believe when you know better you will do better

DistroKid Is Offering ‘Mastered for iTunes’ Certification to Unsigned Artists Apple’s ‘Mastered for iTunes’ classification has mostly been reserved for big labels due to the expense, with very few indie or unsigned artists obtaining the certification for their iTunes downloads or AAC streams.
VIDEO: 12 Year Old Steals Mother's Car & Runs Over A Police Officer
Bucking that trend, DistroKid is now offering unsigned/DIY musicians a way to obtain the Mastered for iTunes certification pretty easily. Distrokid’s new MFiT converter will allow artists to ensure that their tracks conform to Apple’s audio specifications. This converter allows sound engineers to tweak the audio to make sure it sounds right after AAC codec compression. For a fee, DistroKid’s service should help smaller artists reach audiophiles who prefer higher fidelity, whether downloaded or streamed . Learn More…
