Our Mission
Goal #1 Open First Art Studio in Seattle,WA – This will enable us to facilitate exclusive interviews with local talent, book photo shoots, and host mixers. Goal #2 Open 2nd Art Studio in Pasadena, CA – This will enable us to expand our operations to our primary network of talent.
ThaWilsonBlock Magazine is on a mission to revive & preserve local arts & culture. Our primary way of doing this is by bringing together local artists and sharing their story in hopes of inspiring others.
We took a special interest in local talent when we realized that mainstream publications DO NOT scout locally for talent. We seek to fill that void by remaining a magazine that is dedicated to the story of the local, native artist, musician, and entrepreneur. Making this commitment was a HUGE step, but we cannot do this alone! If you support local artists, subscribing to ThaWilsonBlock Magazine is a great way to pay it forward as we continually reach out and provide this medium for the community arts.

A Message from Mistah Wilson
Hello there and thank you for checking out ThaWilsonBlock Magazine Issue78. As always, we are very proud of each issue that we release. I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to those who sincerely read our publication. Anyone who has been following us may know that we have interviewed hundreds of local artists, musicians, and entrepreneurs. In order to continue to do so, we are in need of facilities to operate. An art studio that will enable us to empower local artists by helping them share their story through exclusive interviews. Once we get our first art space, we will be able to start visual interviews with artists. This will not only dramatically strengthen our platform, but it will provide local talent with an audience that will recognize them for who they are. If you would like to support our mission in the local arts, we encourage you to join our Patreon and #Pledge7 for the local talent in your community. If you have any questions,, ccomments,, concerns, or ideas,, feel free to reach me personally at (626)817-6978 or Email Me. Again, thank you so much for checking out our publication and supporting local artists. Without you, none of this would be possible! Sincerely, Mistah Wilson #WilsonBlock100%.

Heavily influenced by his mother and Redman, M.O.U.F set out to make a name for himself in the music industr y and in Hip Hop. “I am going to make a better life for myself and my family, I have a stor y to tell .

Watch "BAG" music video by POUNDS (Produced by FITH / Directed by OTTO The Director) After paying homage to the NYC legend on his latest project, POUNDS hits the Harlem streets with the one and only Pee Wee Kirkland in the cinematic new video for “Bag .” It’s an apt representation of not just “Bag” but the entirety of Pee Wee Kirkland, POUNDS’ latest album that dropped this past August. The project has an air of both celebration and pain permeating through its equally sharp lyricism from POUNDS and his guests along with the production from FITH. This clip cer tainly evokes the feeling of a celebration, par ticularly when you see Kirkland flash that huge grin as he and the emcee enjoy some downtime in Harlem.

“There Is More To Me poem by Ernest Peace You have,
defined me b y the opinions of the masses , your mental picture of me is , one who is unintelligent, pants sagging, violent, dysfunctional, cold -hearted and walking through life with a lack of passion. Acting, as if my shit don't stink (Hold up,wait hold a sec!), " My shit don't stink!" I will, forever hold my head up high and I, no longer will allow myself to be caught within the snares of the dictates of the people, who is inca pable of seeing the tr uth, even when the picture is see -through. I don't need you but the tr uth is , I do need you....
You have, made me feel as if , my record being mar red b y this statement called felon y, I would never be able to stand respectfull y, in this system called society but I beg to dif fer because within me there is the will and desire to rise above the odds , rise above the picture frame that you have enclosed me in. My landsca pe is a scener y that is ever unfolding, displa ying such beauty and promise that it is possible to make the distinction between hope and the fr uition of my honest ef forts.
You have, plastered my mental, my psyche with subliminal messages of deg redation, devestating the ver y fabric of my being, tr ying to smother and har ness whatever innate potential that is within my make -up. I come from, a long line of fighters whose onl y ambition and Mantra is: " I will never give up, no matter how man y times you knock me down!" My vision is clear, the lense is open, I can see clearl y
now. You are afraid of me, you are afraid to see me sur pass you. On my shoulders lies the hopes of generations , you have counted me out, counted me dead but there is one thing that you didn't count on and that is , " THERE IS MORE TO ME"......
"The Essence of Beauty" poem by Ernest Peace Some people sa y that Beauty is onl y skin dee p and other's are of the opinion that Beauty dwells from the e yes of He or She that beholds , magnified impressions , of such a type of attraction, that inadvertentl y sparks from ones own soul. Beauty lies within all: whether short, fat, dark, light or tall. Beauty is synon ymous with love, as the y both transcends through creation, Beauty is one mans beginnings and at the same time, the next mans final destination!
Beauty is perfection, when it is , as it is , leaving it untainted, Beauty is the reflection of an artists desire when being painted. Eloquentl y, Er nest Peace
"Baby will you meet me at the alter?" poem by Ernest Peace
Bab y will you meet me at the alter? I will not fumble or faulter in my words , my unconditional love, total attention and af fection is what you deser ve. My love, your love, becomes our love, that is united as one, shining through the shadows of darkness to manifest our light that is bright as the sun. Sa y it is so, me and you walking through that door,we are gathered together forever in Hol y Matrimon y, our souls is united once more. Our hearts beat in unison to the melodies of sacred love, let's bless this mar riage with the name of Jesus Christ and our Merciful God above.
