Instead, we decided to feature a pupp y dog on the cover, a move we’ve been wanting to do since Issue10’s Lion, Issue14’s Horse, and Issue16’s Orca.
You ma y have noticed that we featured Proverbs (Cha pter 5) from the Hol y Bible. We chose to do this in honor of The Lord Jesus Christ. To help our readers understand who WE are and the virtues we hold firm. For the longest of time, this publication has ser ved as a medium for local artists to express themselves through exclusive inter views , arts , & creativity. Although, we love this work, we strongl y feel that simpl y of fering a platform for expression is just not enough.
We believe in honesty, integ rity, respect, courtesy & mindfulness. These are things of the World that we find to be ‘good’. Since I, the publisher, does the work of a full staf f , I am spread quite thin. With that being said, I have a social responsibility with thawilsonMA G to send positive messages , encouragement, and words of wisdom. Good fr uit that can onl y stem from the Almighty Creator.

Keep your pets hydrated! Trying to stay warm will take up a lot of your pet’s energy. Make sure there is always fresh water available for your animals! Your pet will need extra food during the winter months, too!

3. Dress for the season. Have a shorthaired dog? He may be more cozy in a doggie sweater during walks. Try to find a coat or sweater with a high collar and coverage all the way to the belly. Just because you’re a pup doesn’t mean you can’t be fashionable! 4. Cozy up! Just like you, your furry companion wants a warm place to sleep. A dog or cat bed with a blanket or pillow away from drafts is purr -fect!
5. Never leave your pet alone in the car! In the winter, the car can become a refrigerator, causing your pet to freeze to death.

The Prodigal Child of Pasadena Freelance Journalist Jhantu Randall reviews Bing Bing’s 2016 project ‘Beautiful Struggle’ mixtape I met up with the current subject for this ar ticle, Bing Bing on a Saturday evening at Nate’s Chicken and Waff les in Seattle. Before I get too far ahead of myself, Bing Bing is the stage name of Michael Taylor, the man who brought me in and gave me an oppor tunity at ThaWilsonBlock Magazine. With that explanation stated up front, this ar ticle is the perfect test as I’ve covered ar tists, live performances, and entrepreneurs and this man is a culmination of all 3. From creating a publication that promotes local ar tists and events that highlight the culture, to a podcast that gives
listeners a chance to hear the voice of an unheard star before they make their mark, Hip Hop is the lifeblood that tells the hustlers’ story. It gives a voice to the voiceless, the underclass that's routinely propped up as pawns and then forced to carry the burden of feeling forgotten. It’s these precise circumstances that fuel an indescribable desire to rise above the position your were given, live the American Dream and experience creating the vision. As we sat for a meeting, he broke down the numbers of the ar ticles traction and other things that had to do with music in general. As this
conversation carried on, I was invited to hear some of Bing Bing’s music which I admit I’d never really sat and listened to prior to this. In situations like this it’s best not to go into listenings with any sor t of preconceived notions or expectations and just let your genuine reactions dictate your first impression as you begin to form an opinion. I won’t get into the songs I heard in that moment other than to say that Bing is definitely an emcee as opposed to just being a rapper. For him it’s more about a feeling and conveying a story as opposed to just being a dope spitter with a catalog of quotable’s.

These two dope emcees are sending kites to their loved ones through the music but are sharing them with the world.
