GUYANA Greater Yellowtail Are Development

ExxonMobil and its partners are expected to submit plans by the end of 2021 for a fourth development phase at the Stabroek block involving the Greater Yellowtail discoveries. Front-end engineering and design studies have started for a fourth FPSO.

OMAN Sohar – Small LNG Plant and LNG Bunkering Hub

Operator: Total Value: US$1.2bn

Total is nearing a decision on the EPC phase of the project and revised bids have been submitted. FID is still to be reached although conversations have been had with ECAs for financial support.

UK Thames Enterprise Park Biofuel Plant

Operator: Greenergy Value: US$250m

Greenergy plans to develop a plant that will convert waste tires into a drop-in fuel, as well as recovering carbon black to be reused to produce new tires and other products. FEED work is underway.

Jawahar Nagar Energy from Waste Project

Operator: Hyderabad Integrated MSW Limited Value: US$50m

Development of an energy from waste plant in Jawahar Nagar, India. The project will have a capacity of 48MW and it is the second stage of the 20MW Jawahar Nagar Energy from Waste (Phase 1) project. The operator has been given consent to go-ahead.

KAZAKHSTAN Onshore Wind Farm Badamsha 2

Operator: ArmWind LPP Value: US$60m

Construction of a 48MW wind farm in the region of Aktobe, Kazakhstan. The site will be an extension to the 48MW Badamsha 1 wind farm. Saft has secured a contract for the provision of its Uptimax battery solution to provide essential backup power and other auxiliary services.

WALES Wylfa Nuclear Hybrid Plant

Operator: NuScale Value: US$7.5bn

Deployment of a combined 1GW wind farm and 12 SMRs generating 924MW in north Wales. It will also produce over 3 million kg of hydrogen per year. Shearwater and NuScale have signed a MoU to explore opportunities for the proposal. An outline proposal has been submitted to the British government.
