maintaining a business as usual commitment. The EIC Houston team is committed to keeping our members informed of all the latest project developments and opportunities to network.
We are currently working to deliver a series of EIC LIVE e-vents to ensure our members get the maximum benefits from EIC market intelligence from EICDataStream and EICAssetMap, the launch of the Mexico country report with a series of events on the market following, a deep dive into LNG and US offshore wind, energy transition, and a weekly online coffee, tea or happy hour with the EIC Houston team.
Furthermore, as major conferences and exhibitions have been cancelled or postponed, we want to ensure our members are connected with key project decision makers to keep them one step ahead of the competition and thriving during these difficult times. To do so, we are now working to co-ordinate virtual one-to-one appointments for the UK pavilion exhibitors who would have been in Houston during May, attending the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC).

Trump’s US$2tn stimulus package omits renewables
On 30 March President Trump signed into law a US$2tn coronavirus stimulus package amid the current economic crisis. Despite a push from Democrats and clean energy leaders, however, the bill excluded solar and wind projects from receiving any direct pay provisions or tax credit extensions. Industry leaders remain positive the bill could still provide much needed short-term support for individuals and businesses via healthcare and unemployment aid, as well as small business loans.
